Hello. I have been following the progress of this for awhile and just today I found that the english patch for Pia Carrot e Youkoso is now complete. This is exciting to me because its the 1st PC-FX game I will have been able to play in english.
Here is the link to the site: http://projects.mattsmessyroom.com/welcometopiacarrot/
A HUGE thank you to Matt for doing this.
**EDIT**
I just got this working. Thanks to Zeon and Mobius, and Mithos for helping me out. IF anyone needs help ripping or burning this correctly, let me know and I can help you with the method that worked for me.
**Here is the method I have found to be successful in patching/burning the english translation**
This is the method I used to rip and patch and burn my original copy of Pia Carrot. I have never used a downloaded version of this game so if you dont have the original, I can not help you.
First, you need to get a copy of a program called Imgburn. It is a free program so just google it and you'll find a place to download it.
After you have Imgburn installed, you need to boot it up and select "Create Image File from Disc"
Once you do that you select the disc in your CD-RW drive and you begin the process. Take note that you WILL GET ERRORS about sector 2 and so on. Those are all normal. Just select Continue and yes from all the error screens you will see. Eventually it will finish and you will have 2 image files on your C: Drive.
Once you have those 2 files, you will need to patch the .bin file. Download and use the patching software from http://www.romhacking.net/trans/1372/
Patch the image.bin file on your C: drive.
After that, just simply load up Imgburn once again, and select "Write Image File To Disc"
Select the image.cue file as the one to burn, and it should burn the game. Again, if you see any errors, just select Continue and Yes as many times as you may need to. Eventually, it'll finish.
Hope some of you who were not aware of its completion, were having trouble ripping/burning this game can find this helpful. :)

Fantastic! I've been waiting for this one; now I'll have to actually get the game (plus lotion and tissues). :D
-
Sweet! Thanks for the link, OldSchoolGamer. I was unaware of this, so now I can bust out my copy, patch it, and actually have some idea to what's going on.
-
I just got through the game once today. Going to give it another play through. There are lots of different endings you can get, as well as different scenes you can unlock it seems.
-
Whoa cool, a completed PC-FX translation! This went under my radar.
-
Holy shit, I've been following this for f*cking years.
-
I ordered the PC FX one to commemorate.
lol.
Too bad its not patched.
I wonder, is it possible to apply the patch and then burn a playable disc?

Yes it is. Thats what some people did. Sadly I don't know how to do it myself.

Excellent! Thank you very much for posting the news OSG. If you want to post instructions on how to burn the ISO that is fine (just no posting of the ISO itself). I will be trying this out...
-
Edited original post with burning instructions as per request of pcenginefx :D

I got this working finally - had to use a different burner which was my problem. Did they provide any English printable CD cover & back for this translation? I saw they had small screenshots but no printable artwork.
-
I'm always very happy to see things like this happen, even if its with games I don't own.

Hey.
I have not seen any printable artwork for this as of yet. I honestly do not see why this would be NEEDED as if you have the original, you have everything you need. But I can see having a front insert and back insert in english just for kicks.
-
Ill burn it up then sometime soon. Coooo :)
my copy came with a few other games also. Yay

This is exactly why one would want a cover - for CD mods people usually want some sort of case made up just for the CD so they can stick it on the shelf and have it look pretty. If someone doesn't step up to make some artwork, I'll probably make it...

donde es el CD ARTWORK

Wow. A CD game in full English? I've always thought those were pretty hard to do compared to regular cartridge based ROMS. Congrats man! This gives me hope in seeing more Japanese only CD games translated into full English in the future! :D
-
Yes and now we can fully understand HOW we got to boobies in this game.
-
Wow an english patch for this game!!
-
It is stuff like this that gives me hope that the Saturn Langrisser series may get a full English translation one of these days.
-
Here's hoping the PC-FX Langrisser entry gets a translation first. Just a great, great game.

Finally got a chance to try this patch out. Never thought I'd see it but it was worth the wait. Huge thanks!
-

Is there any place that exists to Pia Carrot ISO already with the patch applied, because when I apply the patch on the ISO emuladr not run the game. What happens?

Since you say that you've had trouble running the unpatched ISO in ME-FX and allowing it to be patched on the fly, it sounds like you have a bad rip. Try following OldSchoolGamer's directions in the first post of this thread.
P.S. - Asking for ISOs is forbidden on this forum.

I'm not asking for ISO. Can rest easy. I have downloaded several different sites but none worked. Someone here already implemented the translation and it worked perfectly?

Played through this one today with the English patch. Nice work!
This is my first time playing one of a game of this sort, and I wasn't sure what to expect. I found the game itself pretty enjoyable - getting to make different decisions, build up my stats, etc. The other parts were, well...interesting. I'll probably play through it again at some point to try to get a different outcome, especially since the game only took me an hour or two.
I hope to see more English patches available for PC-FX games as it seems 75% of the library is unplayable without either a pretty detailed walkthrough or some knowledge of Japanese. I see Angelique is in the works. Can't wait to see it!
-
I played through this one once or twice.... different for sure :P Its actually pretty hard to get "good" endings with any of the characters.
-
Now if only someone did Manji Maru!
