Title: What's your favorite weapon combo in Blazing Lazers?

Me, I go back and forth between weapon 1 with homing missiles and weapon 2 with fullfire. 4 with fullfire is nice, but tends to get me killed, which is odd for a defensive weapon.

Weapon 1 is a potent weapon. I don't understand why almost all the other powerups seem "better" in concert with it. 1 gets more missiles, 1 gets more useful multiples. Fullfire and Shield are up for grabs, but still...

Field Thunder with multibodies for most of the game.  Field Thunder is powerful and, most importantly, looks cool.

Ring Blaster really comes in handy in certain situations, like against the stage 7 boss and in stage 9 when all those small enemies come at you from the sides.

Sometimes--like in stage 6 with all its small, fast enemies--I use the wave weapon because it has faster fire and fewer gaps than Field Thunder. 

I never really use the standard gun, probably just because I find it kinda boring.

More commentary. I find the music at times great and at times strident and awful, but I LOVE the sound effects. Hits sound meaty. I just love the hit sound selection.

I like Field Thunder too! I like to mix it with Focuser in the early levels.

At the shmup contest at the MGC 2007, there was this guy (I think he was kind of new to Blazing Lazers) who lost all of his power ups just before the last level and I thought there would be no way in hell he would be able to beat the game by that point since I've tried playing the last level without power ups numerous times before and failed. But this guy somehow managed to finish the game with just the little default bead shooter. I couldn't believe my eyes.

Field Thunder and Full Fire (Homing Thunder) for most of the game. I'm too lazy to aim at the enemies.

Well, considering how large your hitbox is it can be hard to dodge.
