I recently bought a tg-CD, and found out through the repair forum that my system card 2.0 may be damaged. I was hoping someone had a spare system 2.0 card laying around that they'd like to sell.
So...uh, anyone have one?

If you have the abilitry to play Japanese HuCards, I suggest just getting an Arcade Card Pro
-
I don't have the capability to play Japanese huCards, that would be very freaking nice though!
I decided to buy a system 2.0 card off of ebay, for the ridiculous price of 39.95. I emailed him to see if he'd lower it a bit, but he replied with a cocky email saying it's a "fair" price. Oh well, having a working tgCD seems well worth it to me!

Did you already buy it? Maybe before you do that you could have someone on here check out your sys card. I am going to stick with the fact that I think the card itself is probably fine (of course I am just stubborn).

I found a deep scratch on the back of the systemcard, just noticed it. I'm guessing that's why it isn't working.
I didn't think the system card was bad either, but everything else is working fine. I tried cleaning both the card and the card slot, but nothing worked.
Yeah, I already bought it though.

got pics? It could be fixeable. PM me if u want me to check it out before u drop a bunch of cash on the same card. If u are going to get a new card, consider getting the Arcade card, u could always get a chopsado from Chops!

The card might very well be busted, but a scratch on the back would have to be really deep to be the thing that actually messed it up. Like, you'd basically have to saw right through the card because the actual chip is mounted to the top side.

So how much for the non working card? Just thought I'd throw that out there...
-
I also noticed the contact tips aren't really gold anymore, they're silver. I think someone may have tried to repair it before. Bet hell, if I find out for it's really broken I'll sell it to you. I won't know for sure until I get this new system card I ordered. I'd punch myself in the nuts if I'd find out it's my tg-CD really busted.
The scratch is near the top, and I've tried everything to get this sucker to work again. I really REALLY wan't to play some of these games I have sitting in my face! ](*,)

Fret not my good sir!
I'd bet money on it being the system card...
Soon enough you will be presented with the following screen of pure awesome!(assuming you buy another system 2 card)

Good lord, that screen makes me happy in the pants fo' sho'

Damn too bad you were looking a couple months ago, I sold one for mere dollars.
-
Sorry everyone, but I bought one off of ebay not too long ago. And damn did I get ripped off, I should have been more patient and waited. I would have gotten one for waaay cheaper from someone of this forum I'm sure...

Hey it happens... I just dropped $100 on a Super System Card (US v.30) so that I could play Super CDs without having to mod or use a converter... You and I both will be more careful now and maybe more patient in acquiring our TG16 digs.
Good luck.

Oh yeah, it was worth it though. The tg-CD is an awesome system.
I managed to pick up the tgCD with the briefcase included for 100 bucks, not too bad I think.
