I have just received my Supergrafx and I would like several questions answered.
First I would like to know about the switch on the back of the unit.
1. Does it need to be switched when playing normal PC engine games, if so in what position?
2. Dose it need to be switched to play normal Supergrafx games, if to in what position.
3. It is my understanding that the switch was for use only with hybrid games like Super Darius II is this correct.
Just need to know what is up.
Thanks

There's also another, older thread that dealt with this as well, IIRC.
1. Yes
2. Yes
3. No
I don't have a SGX, but you DO use the switch to toggle between standard PCE HuCard mode (most of your gaming) and SGX mode (used only for SGX games, including hybrid HuC/SGX games like Darius Plus).

So THATS why I had so much trouble getting HuCards to work, but Daimakaimura worked fine.
At least I hope so.
A lot of games needed to be fired up several times to work but a lot worked fine from the get-go. Because the system arrived filthy, I thought that it was because of dirty pins or otherwise(the inside was also dirty.).
Can anyone confirm that this switch actually does flip between SGX and PCE? I assumed that it was a channel switch to work with the rf unit.
I never got any monochrome graphics or anything, just the occasional crash and trouble booting games.
I can't hook it up to test tonight, but would appreciate it if anyone can confirm this.
