Wow.
I finally started playing Galaga '88 again and finished taking the low path for the first time (not collecting ANY of the blue capsules). The ending is apparently different depending on which path you take. I got this message:
BETTER NOT GET TOO CONFIDENT
YOU GREENHORN
:-s :-s :-s
Google search isn't pulling it up, kinda surprised. I'm still looking though. Anyone else seen this?
EDIT: Google found what looks to be the contents of the .PCE (rom) file. Looks like all of the ending messages are here. Here's the one I got from taking the low path. Wonder if the US version has the same message?
YOU ARE DOING OK
BUT IN REAL MISSION
THERE IS NO RECOVER CAPSULE
YOU NEED MORE PRACTICE
BETTER NOT GET TOO CONFIDENT
YOU GREENHORN
GET READY FOR REAL ACTION
WARP TO THE NEXT DIMENSION
YOU CAN DO IT

That's weird. :-k
Silly Namco. I'm going to have to take the lower routes to compare messages.

That should be one of the titles that appears under the member name depending on the post count (like how Ceti's says "Punchy Pedro").

wow, "greenhorn". I'm pretty sure that's the first time I've heard that outside of a western.

Ha, that's slang for Portuguese people where I live.
