I'm looking for an original AC Adapter for the Turbo Duo.

Well i had no luck finding an ac adapter for the turbo duo. Does anyone know of any alternative ac adapters i could use? Perhaps there are ac adapters for other video game consoles that will work on the duo? Are there any universal ac adapters that will work on it?

TurboDuo AC Adapters are 10V, 1000mA, center positive. Both this one (http://www.amazon.com/PowerLine-0900-77A-1300mA-Universal-Adapter/dp/B000QFLWAG/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1238260904&sr=8-3) and RadioShack's 273-1771 adaptor (http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2049712) with a type 'Q' plug (http://www.radioshack.com/search/index.jsp?kwCatId=&kw=adaptaplug%20q&origkw=adaptaplug%20q&sr=1) will work. They aren't exact matches, but they're close enough for gubmint work.

Thanks very much for the info. I did some further research into this, and i found that the genesis 2 power adapter works with the duo. Will radio shack's adaptaplug Q fit on the genesis 2 adapter to make it connect into the duo?
Also, i already have an extra sega master system adapter, it's specs are very similar to the genesis 2 and turbo duo adapters. Its 9V 1000ma 15W. Will this also work on the duo? If so does the radio shack adaptaplug Q fit on it?
If the sega master supply does not work, does anyone have any extra genesis 2 adapters that they could sell me?

That Sega supply should work as well. The TurboDuo contains a 7805 which drops the working voltage to 5V...the extra voltage from the adapter is merely to ensure that the unit always has sufficient power at all times. As long as there is enough amperage and not too much voltage over what's expected, it will be fine. Extra power is dissipated from the 7805 in the form of heat, which is why the machines get hot sometimes.

Those adapter tips from Radio Shack are meant to plug into Radio Shack AC adapters only. The AC adapter doesn't end in a tip, it ends in two holes, and you choose the correct size tip and plug it in one way or the other depending on whether the plug is supposed to be positive center or negative center. I've never seen an adapter that plugs onto an AC adapter tip to allow it to fit into a different receptacle, but I suppose it could exist.
I use that Radio Shack AC adapter that Necromancer linked on my PC Engine Duo and it works perfectly. It cost too much, but that's Radio Shack for you (my original NEC unit blew out, and I was desperate).

Also, I just looked at my Genesis 2 AC adapter, and I would not recommend using it. Although the voltage matches the Turbo Duo adapter (10V), the amperage isn't sufficient. The Turbo Duo AC adapter has an amperage of 1000mA, while the Genesis 2 AC adapter is only 850mA. You can go higher on amperage, but you shouldn't go lower.

Thanks for the info, i already bought the radio shack adapter and it works good :) I guess an adapter tip probably exists to connect the tip of a genesis adapter into a duo, but i figured it would be quicker and easier just to buy the radio shack adapter since i heard it works well
