Title: FS: MSX 2 Philips NMS8250
Post by: Arkhan on May 19, 2009, 01:29:21 PM
it "works"...

it arrived with alot of cosmetic damage from the netherlands....

both cartridge ports work fine and so do the joystick ports, and everything.....youre just missing a front panel and theres some other case damage....

the FDDs are goofy.  One sort of works, the other not so much....

Its a wreck, but if someone here wants to gut it, stick it in a case and make a project out of it... please take it.  I keep stubbing my toe on it.

Just PM me some kind of offer for it...

ill throw in the step up thingy for it as well.

You'll need a PAL friendly monitor, since its SCART.  Otherwise you have black and white via composite.

>_<

Can I see a picture of the whole thing? Also measurements of the mainboard would be nice. I might have an empty shell that can fit this.

oh... someone is currently going to be buying it I believe.  As soon as I get pictures taken (as in, when I find my friggin camera tomorrow).

I got another XDJ on the way.  If it arrives broken I will just walk into traffic and call it day.

the assface I bought it from is a member of the MSX Resource Center staff, and he packs boxes to go overseas with newspaper and deflated bubblewrap.

it seems a few euro MSXers are mostly just in it for cash.

I got 3 boxed games and they showed up on my doorstep wrapped in newspaper, sitting in a pile of snow with icicles dripping down.  no box, just one layer of newspaper.

You really have bad luck when it comes to MSX gets. I hope your latest F1XV came in one piece.

Who was the seller that shipped in a newspaper? I'd really like to know so I can avoid at all costs.

Sounds like my guy, allright. Can't remember his name now, though.  :-k

OK, the guy I dealt with is called Recompute33 on Ebay, his real name is Gerben Vissers. Avoid doing business with him.
