I know a guy who paid $60 for this game back in the day and he thought it was a rip off even then. I wouldn't pay $10, personally. The art direction is unique, I'll give it that, but IMO its a below average game that sells for bat shit crazy money for some reason. Borrow/pirate it first to check it out. Its no Drac X or Saphire. Its barely better than Night Creatures.

the reason is, it is quite rare. means not that you can't get one, but it's not really common outside the akiba stores.

Like Night Creatures, it's an unfinished/unpolished game. It's also clearly Castlevania inspired, which Night Creatures may also be.
HardcoreOtaku, if you have any intention of doing more with it than putting it on a shelf, you should try it first, or at least check out the play through I recorded-
Also, whether you plan on playing it or not, I hope you have every other good PCE game already, because Renny Blaster isn't one of them, but it does cost more than any of them.

yeah..it's clearly like that.
if you are a collector of uncommon software -> go ahead and make your day. if you only wanna play it -> drop it

I'm glad I'm not the only one that felt that way. I played the game, expecting this awesome creation and was highly disappointed. You would think for a game that I have seen sell for $400 would be semi-decent. I understand it's rare, but the controls are horrible and its not even fun to play.

cheers for responses so far, I think I'll leave RB for now, there are still tons of excellent games I want to get on my wishlist. 8)

I like RB myself. It's not a "good" game. But I enjoy playing it. The atmosphere, music, art, it comes togeather to make a rather unique game. I certainly don't play it every day. But I run through it every other month or so. It's certainly a love or hate kinda game.

that's right so far, but if you still have a big lot of excellent gems in front of your way just waitin' to be buyed, RB isn't the 1st choice for sure.
