I mean, the dude has billions of listing up and his prices are nutty. $379 for a boxed DuoR????? And his boxed Turbo Duo prices are insane:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8169874438&ssPageName=MERC_VI_RSCC_Pr4_PcY_BIN_Stores
$407 and it doesn't seem to include the bag for the system or accessories. Manual? Packins?
-
never saw this fellow before, but here are some additional observations:
1. he really overdoes the font size / font color / capitalization in his listings.
every few words he changes the font size and sometimes the font color for no apparent reason (a misguided attempt at "emphasis" perhaps?)
2. a recent auction (ended (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=62053&item=8190748410)) for a "MINT & COMPLETE" Bonk's Revenge had a case in poor condition, but the "label" on the HuCard was "mint"
3. at least he's *only* charging $185 for Beyond Shadowgate, but no map is included. As a consolation, he is offering a bonus audio CD with music from prior SG titles.
4. this seller... how did he mangage to sell 2400+ items?
-
Who says he sold 2400 PCE items? :)
-
The Vintage game guy seems to be priced Higher. I bought from him though, games were as stated, prices were good, good communication. But havent bought anything since. But I would buy from him again....just not his Complete copy of Bonk 3 or Magical Chase.
-
I've seen his prices for a while now, they're flat out ridiculous
-
This auction is a joke. In addition, I'm not even sure it follows ebay's rules...this may very well be an illegal auction since it's nothing more than a snare to another site (even though it's an ebay store, it's still not a legitimate auction because of his text). This auction should be reported to ebay as a potential violation of policy...as this could be considered a "signpost" auction, which is not allowed. On top of that, it's grossly overpriced.
-
I always liked how he tosses every system name into the auction title, and considers the Keith comic a rare item......
-
I may end up ordering off of that guy though because he is one of the few people selling Atari Jaguar CD Systems.....don't really know why I want one...no good games for it. But, collectors are suckers I guess :)
Also, with the exception of his Systems in his Turbo section all the game prices have gone down. New Adventure Island Complete used to be a bit higher, if I am remembering correctly, don't spend much time in his store.
-

No need to justify the Jag CD purchase! I myself have yet to play most of the Jag, let alone Jag CD, library. I'll eventually get a Jag CD.
-
I've purchased from him a couple of times. He's ok. However, if you ever have a question, don't expect him to answer your emails. Plus, as I recall, shipping takes forever. At least it did when I bought from him. Other than that, the items were exactly as described.
-
I've purchased one game from him. I don't plan to do it again. Not only does he misrepresent the quality of the items (e.g. described the game as mint and it clearly was not when it arrived), but he does not respond to emails *at all*. Additionally, it took him a *week and a half* to ship the item to me from *within the same state*.
I'd also be afraid of the fact that he almost always leaves negative feedback out of spite, when someone leaves negative feedback to him. E.g., it appears that a buyer will pay promptly and do all of the things that a good buyer does, only to get an item that's in poor condition or is missing altogether, and leave negative feedback because Bullseye won't respond. As a response, Bullseye seems to leave negative feedback instead of attempting to correct the problem with the buyer.

I got a Jaguar CD around 6 years ago from VGLQ back when they weren't treasued by the growing number of retro collectors since the Jaguar was Atari's last console. I paid like 50.00 for it with 6 games. I admittedly haven't played it in years.

THIS SELLER RAISES MY HAIR!!!
Allthough i haven't much left. :D
I bought 2 items from this seller and they never arrived.
Lucky for me i got my money allready back from paypal of 1 item and the following item i should be able to recover from my credit card company.
He never answered my mails but i did got a mail from him saying to don't forget to give feedback :!: :?:
I don't know how he get away with this but i just gave him bad feedback!
But i think the feedback system isn't that good as many are afraid to get bad feedback in return for that, so some won't give feedback. :?
I got a 100% feedback score right now but after that incident i can expect bad feedback in return AND IT'S UNFAIR!
:x
-
REALLY frustrating when sellers can leave feedback out of spite. Had the same thing happen to me. It was Neutral, but it still messed up my 100% rating. buyers can do NOTHING on ebay.

Here's a perfect example. Bullseye didn't waste any time giving you negative feedback. One must wonder why it's so hard for him to check his email if he's so prompt about leaving negative feedback. It's amazing, because it's so hard to get him to leave positive feedback at all.
http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&userid=rcduck7
RCduck7 - Sorry about the luck on this one. :(
I hope that people stop buying from this Bullseye asshat. I can't tell you how many times I've clicked on an item in Ebay, all excited about possibly bidding on it, only to see the seller and say to myself: "Oh shit. It's Bullseye." I've seriously considered starting a web page called "Don't buy from Bullseye". Ugh. This seller disgusts me.
-
I sold a rather big lot of Turbo stuff about a year ago, fully knowing what it would probably get. He e-mailed me offering a ridiculously low amount on it to end the auction early. I hate that.
-
ppfff...Well it's done, he got my 100% feedback to 98,7%
Funny is that he was now so quik to that instead of sending my stuff or answering my e-mail back then...
He clearly is lying or doesn't know what he's saying accusing me of things he doesn't know about.
I have sold and bought over 100 items and he is the only one i did have problems with.
If i bought one item i could give him the benefit of doubt for not arriving but 2 and never replying to my mails asking if my stuff was sent???
:x
-
If you need a Turbo Tap, I've got plenty. Just the cost of shipping for ya.

It's illegal to do that.
If you end the auction early you lose all your rights.
He's sick.
He send me an email to remove the bad feedback i gave to him or else....
That's very low to blackmail someone.
Sadly on the internet it's hard to prove your doing wrongs or rights.

You should report that to eBay. I can't stand feedback blackmail like that. If you screw up, you screw up and your feedback is their to reflect that. I wonder how many more negatives would show if people weren't so worried about getting retaliatory negative feedback like this guy.
-

He would have had one from me a few months ago, but I knew he'd leave one out of spite if I did. Instead, I left neutral, and he didn't leave any feedback at all. He doesn't seem to respond to neutrals.
-
Sorry, i won't need a turbotap anymore now.
Since my collection of PC-engine games (not turbo) have grown much more since then i'd rather have that one now.
I know the controllerport on my supergrafx where i play my pc-engine games on is different (smaller) of my turbo so it wouldn't fit.
If you would have plenty of those i defenitly buy one.
Maybe then i can name a date when i'm online to buy it on Ebay.
Please keep in mind that i'm from Belgium (Europe) and can only pay you with paypal.
thanks
:)

Ok,
Let me know the details for the listing on Ebay to buy it, but a few hours earlier then this hour when i post this message, as i have to hit the sack right now.
It's very late in Belgium now and have to get up early for work.

Doesn't exist yet :)
Lots of stuff needs to be done on that site still.
-
Hi D-lite, if you read this today you can post the URL of the item here.
If you manage it today that is.
-
You guys could do the thing where you wait until the very last day it's possible to give feedback, then SLAM him with a really bad one. By the time he notices it'll be too late to retaliate.

Is there somewhere a countdown to be found in "My Ebay" for this feedback, like with an ending of an auction?
PS: I told Ebay about that feedback issue but thay can't or won't do nothing about it as they don't investigate to know the thuth.
Only if the seller names dirty words or something, then thay can.

You have more hardware than I do, you also have more eproms though I do have several US eproms from before SNK USA closed (Faselei, Last Blade, Cotton). I only have one slimline and five total systems. I also don't have the bootleg carts. Nice collection.
I have some odd peripherals like the glow light, third party link cable, official Naki Wormlight and Shock N Rock and handful of odd stuff I picked up years ago.
-
I see him on the 'bay all the time and always raise a browe to his outrageous prices. I believe one time I saw him selling Ys III for over 70 bucks.

I believe you have 90 days after the end of the auction to leave feedback, after the 90th day the item disappears from their system or something. I know it's tough to remember after 3 months, but I've heard many people do this to avoid retaliatory feedback when dealing with total a$$hole sellers.
-
I just bought Dragon Slayer (US) from him for $75. Still waiting for the item- report to come.
-
i seem have some kind of adware or spyware from bullseye. i just had a pop-up followed by a box asking if i wanted to install and run a "free game" from Bullseye. i've never purchased anything from him, so i must have been infected while checking out his store.
if anyone ever runs into this guy feel free to give him a curby for me.
-

Woha! Is that game that expensive now? I think I paid about $20 for mine.
-
I still seem to know things by the day from this guy.
He keeps bothering through mail, it's almost stalking.
He does seem to have enough time for that. :D
-
My copy of Dragon Slayer arrived today (which I purchased from him) and everything seems to be in order, so I gotta say I'm satisfied. Of course if I had waited a week I could have got it $20 cheaper from someone else's auction that just went up, but oh well
Take a look at his inventory; he's got an AWFUL lot. I suspect he's trying to corner the market so we will have to buy from him. :?

Pretty much... There will always be better sellers though, that offer a better selection of import games. Not to mention that other sellers tend to have much better customer service. Bullseye does offer a few domestic titles that are harder to find though.
-
I got my Dragon Slayer in a bundle with Ys IV and Exile for $60  ! (Thanks, Siren Freek! Wherever you are now.)
-
Got a major turnaround from Bullseye after all his accusations and bulling towards me!
This is what he wrote to me.
Alright, it has been agreed with the owner that we will give at least a partial refund as looking at your past feedbacks being all good, that wa are trusting your word on this. ONCE WE SEE THAT YOU MUTUALLY REMOVE BOTH NEGATIVE FEEDBACKS we will partially refund amount so it benefit us both. When agreeing to remove negatives. It removes the ones we left you, and the ones you left us. Do ti for both. WE ARE GOOD PEOPLE and ARE TRUSTING YOU HAVE NOT FRAUDED US and are not lying, THANKS.
What should i do?
Is it this true what he says it removes my negatives when i remove his? And is this e-mail enough proof for the refund?
-
People can agree with removing feedback, but it still leaves a weird post in your feedback of some kind if I remember right, saying both people withdrew feedback or something. But,and I stress a BIG but here, you should leave the negative. If you paid by paypal, file with them and get a full refund, and file with squaretrade if you filed by check or money order. If by money order file a claim on the money order. If it was a paypal payment, paypal will refund you, even if he does not do so.paypal gives you 45 days from when the payment was made to file for a refund.
Also I think you should leave the negatives because he is RIPPING people off,and many people are scared to leave a negative out of fear.Look at your own feedback, his negatives wont hurt you if the rest are all positive, people look at that and can tell youyr a good buyer/seller.You can leave a response on the feedback he left you, saying what happened.
Also.,I outbid Bullseye on Exile,he only bid 14 bucks, and on a TG16 cd auction,he outbid me,but didnt pay for it,so the seller made me a second chance offer. He is trying to buy up crap to have a monoply on the TG stuff, and hes a shadey seller, people should know this.

SilentHillFreak doesn't have internet access right now, but he's doing OK, i think :)
-
Was to late for the limited 45 day paypal refund but agreed to withdraw both negative feedbacks (score) as I come better out of it.
In the meantime i and others know what of a seller he is.
Learned my lesson with this one. :)

Gotta love sellers who run auctions like this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=62053&item=8190791436
edit: If you look at the feedback from the poor idiot who "won" the auction, he says he was sold 2 sheets of xeroxed paper.
-
It says Black and White....and then gets of vague...Black and White sort of a pages from a guide of sorts...I mean the person shouldn't even be able to leave negative feedback with that horrible a$$ description. I mean seriously, this one is all on the buyer IMHO.
-

well, I wouldn't be so kind to Bullseye: he (she?) was clearly being deceitful. There are plenty of authentic printed media in B/W... Bullseye was deceptive by not identifying the items as photocopied / laserprinted stuff (which is easilly identified as homemade).
This is reason #9999999999 not to support Bullseye. Seriously, even if Bullseye has something you really want, I ask folks to think twice. No, I don't think everyone will be ripped-off necessarily, but Bullseye seems to be the car-salesman of the TG-16 world. My apologies to car-salesmen, but you know your reputation is well-deserved ;).
-
HA!
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=62053&item=8196634521
I almost fell out of my chair when I saw this one.
-
wow, this fellow is getting innovative. I haven't seen a "frequent buyer" program being offered (or should I say "being sold") on ebay before.
it will be interesting to see how this fares...
-
Sweet, only $25, I've bought 2 already and am contemplating buying 3 more. Thanks Bullseye!
-
That "frequent buyer" program is really creative. I never bought anything from Bullseye. Just was skeptical and now I see why from others.
-
I know this is an old topic but i'd just like to say that bullseye ripped me off this week. He sold me a broken copy of Aero Blasters and a Bloody Wolf with the manual glued together. I ordered that stuff before I saw this thread and I will not be buying from him again.
Some other shady things i've noticed him doing lately are selling rca cables and listing them as a turbo system with a booster and cables. And selling a duo with a burned copy of dracula x for about $100 more than his other duos.
-
And what the hell is with one Duo being $489, then the next...seemingly same quality one, being $426....his funky pricing and "condition" system is why I have yet to buy from him, but he does seem to be hording titles...It seems like he wins other auctions just to sell them back, only with higher prices and shittier service....that may just be me thinking that....
Also....EVERY game he sells is "RARE...MINT" ...yeah whatever...
-
If he wasn't selling that much i think Ebay would have thrown him out.
But he makes money for Ebay when selleing a lot. :(
He was accusing me of fraud and threatening me that paypal would cancel my account, but by now i think paypal know what kind of seller he is to not get into this.
-

Paypal is owned by ebay but still operates on its own staff and policies. So regardless of whether or not ebay is making money off of this jackass, Paypal still only considers serious cases, so chances are very VERY low that bullshit...excuse me, bullseye's threats have any weight to them.
-
Haha, Bullshit. That's nis new nickname.
-
You know what would threaten hime... A BOYCOTT...I mean if no one is buying, then no one is buying. Of course, you cant control all the masses....oh...If only I hadn't broken my mind control device....oh that was a long time ago, E3 back in the day, was fully prepared to show how I hooked my Duo up to my SNES and inserted my brand new copy of Strider SGX into the Hu Card slot it created a field of mind control...it was a blast...good times that year....everybody knows that was a line of S#it right?  :D

Whatever you do, be careful about feedback. He leaves negative feedback *out of spite*. Don't leave a negative unless it's like the absolute last day possible, or he'll nail you with one as well because he's a prick.

You can add an other seller to this site me thinks.
Lance Kiesman...
He seemed to have good feedbacks in ti's early days on Ebay but seems to join the dark side now.
I bought Lunar eternal blue for the PS from him but didn't receive it.
He didn't replies to my mails and when i took it to paypal i got bad feedback without warning.
from what i've read there seems to be other sellers with the same experience to mine.
The Ebay rules want you to make contact for a solution but he doesn't reply.
Even in the unlikely event it got lost in the post then he shouldn't blame me and giving bad feedback.
Still waiting for paypal to come through with my money.
Lance Kiesman's feedback.

I totally agree that Bullseye's tactics MUST be documented and that we should do our part to raise awareness of his slimy business practices. As a public service to the turbo community, we can start a thread entitled "Ebay sellers to avoid" or, "Ebay sellers to be wary of" and perhaps Aaron can make it a sticky so everyone will always see it. All ebay sellers that have a documented history of shady / deceitful practices would qualify.
Also, I forgot to track Bullseye's "Frequent Buyers Program" to see if he sold any of them (...my heart goes out to the poor souls who may have purchased one).
Finally, in addition to the responsible and fair methods of documenting and exposing Bullshit, some of us may wish to organize GUERILLA tactics to raise awareness... like emailing folks who bid on Bullshit's auctions and providing these prospective buyers a link to the "Ebay sellers to be wary of" thread. "Hi _______ . Sorry to bother you, but I thought you might want to know that Bullseye has engaged in some questionable business practices in the past. Further info can be found here (link)."
Libel and slander be damned!
-
I'd shoot Bullseye right in his bullseye.
-
Well I was stupid enough to buy something from him, and paid the price. Same old story: I left negative after not being able to get a reply from him, he retaliated with his own negative feedback, and I dedicated a blog to him, with the link posted in my reply to his feedback:
http://tinyurl.com/ayj8x
-
The only way this a$$hole stops is if we as a community stop buying. I am pretty sure most people have, atleast around here....not really sure though. But, there deffinatly needs to be stronger counter measures for both buyers and sellers than that of the feedback system. I mean yes, the feedback system works when you are speaking of honest people...but Bullseye, is not one such person.
-
This is wrong to do, but here's how you fix the bullseye problem-
Step 1: Everyone on the forum signs up for a new ebay account
Step 2: Everyone bids on one of his items
Step 3: Everyone does not pay
Step 4: Everyone leaves negative feedback
I'm not advocating anyone do this, but that's how you fix a problem like this. The guy has never screwed me- but then again I've never bought anything from him- never will either...
-
This is wrong to do, but here's how you fix the bullseye problem-
Step 1: Everyone on the forum signs up for a new ebay account
Step 2: Everyone bids on one of his items
Step 3: Everyone does not pay
Step 4: Everyone leaves negative feedback

Or instead of ruining his feedback I could get in the car with a few friends and pay him a visit. Bullseye and I are both in Ohio so It could be a day trip. Once I was there the conversation would go something like this:
Kelly: Bullseye, why are you a bastard?
Bullseye:I am NOT a Bastard.Who are you to Question my respectable business practices?
Kelly: I came to pick up my discount card.
Bullseye:You can not have your mint and worthless discount card now. The moon is not in it's 4th phase and Jupiter and mars have not aligned.
Kelly: Me and my pals are here to kick your ass.
Bullseye:It is not rare for that to happen.
This is where we open a 10 pound can of whup-ass on old boy-
Only bad this is he's on the other side of the state 150 miles is a haul at $3 a gallon-
Who want's to chip in gas money  [/b]

Maybe Bullseye and Blasta Mazta are brothers...

Haha, that's pretty well put. Got to love the moon alignment part.

Every single one of Bullseye's auctions that link to his "discount card" auction is in violation of eBay's listing policies. I've found a couple other violations in a few of his listings, too.
Here is where you find Bullseye's auctions:
http://stores.ebay.com/Bullseyes-Video-Games-Collectibles
Here is the form where you report listing violations:
http://pages.ebay.com/help/contact_us/_base/index.html
1) pick "Report a listing policy violation or prohibited (banned) item"
2) pick "Listing policy violations"
3) pick "Violated eBay links guidelines"
4) click Continue
5) Under "Customer Support Option(s)", click the "Email" link
6) Fill in the item number and send to eBay.

Folks, at a minimum please take a minute to formally report Bullseye in the manner Emerald Rocker outlined. :)

I told my girlfriend, who is a lawyer, about Bullseye and she had two things to offer:
1) In response to the poster above who joked "libel and slander be damned!", she pointed out that it's only libel or slander if what you're saying isn't true. As long as you're being factual, you have every right to badmouth Bullseye.
2) She was very interested in the "Mini Strategy Guides" he's selling. If they are in fact printed up from a website somewhere, his selling them for cash is illegal. She suggested someone buy one of the guides, figure out what site it's from, and alert that site that their content is being sold by Ryan on eBay.

That's not bad idea. I'll do it, if a few more people agree. Lets bring his feedback down to 70.1%

This reminds me of this buyer on Ebay called Eastcoastgamer. He sucks ass, he buys up everything. Example Dracula X on the SNES. he bought all 4 that were auctioned at the same time. He even bought them at high prices no matter what conditioned (one had a rental sticker on the label) giving collectors no chance of getting the games, me for example. He buys like 10 games a day, check his feeback. Now I need to find out what his seller name is.
He is another prime example of a seller that buys everything up AT EBAY and then jacks the prices up and sells them AT EBAY. This shit should be illegal.
-
Eastcoastergamer sounds familar...
-
Yeah I hate those f*ckers that buy shit up and then jack the prices on them, they're just plain a$$holes. They're the reason turbo games started going for insane prices, I remeber a few years ago when there were only a handful of games over $100 and now it seems like any US game that's boxed goes for insane amounts.
-
Turbo games are getting bad prices these days. I remember when the Turbo List page used to sell Turbo Duos brand new for $150 and TZD for $200. Now the price of them used is going to be $200 at the least.
-
Yeah thats why I took the oportunity to buy a brand new Turbo Duo boxed and mint for like $150 or $200. Man its been a while, this was like in 1999-2000or so, gotta find the receipt.
Anyway, I guess the reason why Turbo games are so expensive boxed is because you have a CD jewel case inside a box if its US. Most of all people back then either throw away the boxes or they get smushed (my boxes are smushed since I had them since 1991-92 and was like 10 years old. So this explains the high prices on boxed games for this system.
-
I usually don't look to buy Turbo games that are complete with the cardboard box since it's not common these days, but I still make sure that I get the game, instruction manuel, and jewel case. When it comes to Japanese games, same rules and I don't care much for a spine. I only like to buy games THAT complete if it's a special game to me.
-
Vrolokus, your blog was pretty funny int hat the manual for Order of the Griffon originated from me. It's circulated quite a bit over the years. I never sold to Bullseye directly.
I sold OOTG with the game, box, and manual. People out there are swapping parts.
Any games that sport a Video Nation sticker are good. They were not rented much (Some probably not at all). I picked up those games around 1996 or so from the back room of the video store when they were removed from the store shelves due to taking up space (not renting). I received many duplicates, and at least half of the TG-16 US collection from that store.
All of the duplicates from that store I sold on ebay, the last went up for sale 2004. Many games and booklets I was able to remove the stickers from with no noticeable marks.
Don't be too cautious about TG-16 games form rental stores, chances are they may not have been played much.
-
dudes, did you ever check out Vroklus (sp) blog? It wasn't until I read Mr. Fulci's comment above that I read Vrokoluskks' (sorry, I just can't remember this name) great blog entry. Check out the instruction manual that Bullseye sent him!
Good job :)

Same for me as well i'm not worry about getting a, TG16 game complete with the box.
Unless it's the only way i can get the game np then.
Most of the time i just perfer the... TG16 game to have it's jewelcase and manual nothing more.
-
Yeah for a while i pleaded with Bullseye to give me a better deal on his US Soldier Blade with manual. (Its been sitting there on Ebay forever now) He refused and refused.
I just got one with the manual for about $30 on Ebay. Clean as hell.
That guy's a complete numbnut. I had dreams where I broke into wherever he keeps all that stuff, stole it and gave it away to all turbo fans. Sort of like a Robin Hood sort of thing.
That guy needs to sit on his finger.
Forgot to mention he wants $65 for it and shipping is more.

God damn Bullseye is ignorant.
