Besides RIDICULOUS shipping, doesn't seem to bad.

I did similar rounds on this last year and it typically balances out from what I saw. Of course the seller pays less in eBay fees by directing more of the cost towards the shipping.

For comparison, RisingStuff (who seems very fair with their pricing as best as I can tell) sells a loose Duo-R with one standard pad and two random games for $189. It must cost them at least $20 to ship to US, right? That's only $6 less than what this guy is paying on eBay, and he's getting 3 games and RGB mod and an Ave3 pad. So IMO the total package is still a good deal.

Yeah, actually compared to some of the shipping I have seen thats not bad....Better than $80 or $90 s/h. And the best thing is its already RGB modded and has games and duo tap, modded ave 3 pad.....For less than most duo systems are going for w/o all the xtras! In my mind I gotta steal!

Actually Nectarsis your are incorrect on the RIDICULOUS shipping statement.....After recieveing the package today the shipping slip shows that he paid 6,100 yen to ship this to me EMS....The package got to me in 5 days flat! I would have gotten this am but I was not awake to answer the door. So instead I had an adventure tracking down the postal lady and got it today at about 6 instead.

SO now lets take a step over  HERE!  (http://www.coinmill.com/) 6,100 Yen converted over to US Dollars comes out to be $63.15 which is $1.45 less than what I paid in actual shipping! SO On shipping a system, 3 games, a controller, the original a/c adapter, a/v cord, all individually bubblewrapped in a nice size package from Japan that is not a bad deal!

I'm glad you posted the update.  I've always wondered why shipping was so much and how much it actually cost from Japan.  I always figured they used low pricing on systems and just made it up in shipping.

Cool so they seren't scamming on shipping...odd though I've had bigger package system bundles shipped EMS for a LOT cheaper...

Well nectarsis I wonder if although its a bigger bundle maybe depending on if they are closer or farther away from the states will change shipping that much more. I am not sure....maybe its also cause they took a lose on shipping or something...Im not sure. Atleast we now know that I was not getting ripped on the shipping although its still alot but heh it was worth it!!!!!

Actually cardboard factors in if they buy there shipping boxes. Ive seen boxes cost upwards of 15 dollars depending if its double walled which most retailers sell.

Somehow Risingstuff managed to ship me a Duo -R, with 3 games, a duo -r controller, and an Ave -6 pad for $200 shipped.  I wonder how they made anything on it all if the shipping really costs that much
