Title: HUDSON's FONT @ (NFG's Font Maker!)

NFG's Arcade Font Tool (http://nfggames.com/games/fontmaker/)

Of course, everyone here should know about NFG. If not, well, shame on you! (here's a great pce article (http://nfggames.com/games/pce/) to start with).

Anyway, folks here will love TONS (if not ALL) of the fonts available.

OF PARTICULAR INTEREST to us here at pcefx, however, is the PANIC BOMBER font!:

You will instantly recognize this font, it has a very distinctive Hudson / PCE flavor to it (if any of you folks took the initiative to actually compare this font to some Hudson PCE games, that would be utterly fantastic. I might do this if I have some free time).

After you set the size, color, options, blah, blah, you save the image (it is a .png) and yay! You have insta-fun!

The Font Tool is clearly splendid, but the inclusion of a Hudson font makes it even more so.

Post by: esteban on July 07, 2009, 09:26:05 AM: I wanted to point out that if you look in the forums at nfg (http://nfgworld.com/mb/thread/601), there is some interesting commentary about how some of the fonts evolved (i.e. Shinobi fonts), and how things always weren't an improvement, and there's stuff on ripping SNES fonts, etc.

Also, for those of you who missed it, you can view all of the fonts + commentary (http://nfggames.com/games/fontmaker/lister.php). Excellent stuff.

I'm still adding fonts to it (http://nfgworld.com/mb/thread/632) on occasion, though the flood has slowed somewhat. Total count as of today is 111 fonts.

Not only do we love it, but we humbly request that you consider adding another font that is PCE/TG-16/Hudson-related.

Sorry, but I had to ask. Of course, we are gracious enough to allow you to take your time. No deadlines, or that sort of thing. :)
