Hey bastards, I originally noticed some of these things on Hudson's Japanese site a while ago (i.e. Shot Watch)... but I forgot to check the North American site until today.
I assume most folks won't need a full review of everything.
Here's the scoop:
(http://www.dothehudson.net/en/app/shooting-watch/img/large1.jpg)(http://www.dothehudson.net/en/app/shooting-watch/img/large3.jpg) (http://www.dothehudson.net/en/app/shooting-watch/catalog.html)
So, I didn't do any research on this, but if I had to hazard a guess, Hudson might have released an actual plastic toy back in the day, and this iPhone app is recreating it. I could be wrong of course. Very wrong. But why else would they have the primitive LCD display if they weren't recreating an actual item? I mean, it would be neat to design a retro product that never existed... but....
So, I paid $1 for this and the lack of a tactile button really takes away from it. It is fun in its own right (clearly, I am easily amused), but I'm sure the novelty will wear off soon. Novelty sums up things nicely, and it's worth $1 to me.
UPDATE: So, it was an actual product, but after a cursory look, I haven't found images of actual Shooting Watches from the 1980's. I found tons of the recently-made "Capsule Shooting Watches" and the full-size "Shooting Watches", but I want to see some crusty old relics from the 80's!

SAVE BONK
This is only tangentially connected to Bonk, but I played it anyway. You are shown a password (alphanumeric), it disappears, and you have to enter it. Incorrect responses result in a 30 second penalty.

Flip & BOOM! Bonk Edition
Again, stick Bonk into something and I'll try it!

Same Game
Look at the history of this game and you'll see that Hudson has been pushing this for quite some time (old gameboy had a version, IIRC) and it is based on a free / shareware game (again, IIRC). Same Game was very popular in Japan.

Find The Meijin!! (Bonk Edition)
I haven't played this yet.

There's been a change (Bonk Edition)
This is geared for younger folks, methinks. Of course, I'll totally check it out when I have more time simply because Bonk is in there. I suppose a lot of these games are geared for younger folks, but maybe you'll have a bit of fun...

So what's your best score on the ol' Shot Watch app? Anything less than 10 per second means you're a weenie. :P
Again, stick Bonk into something and I'll try it!
That's what she said.

I tried a few times and I'm at 130-140. I can't break 140, though, and special modes open when you break certain milestones. Clearly, 160 is one of them!

i think its geared for younger folks, or people who are sitting on a bus in a crowded setting and just want a quick easy pokey game.
