Title: PC-Engine games on PS3

Didn't see a post about this already, so....

PC-Engine games available on PSN. That's interesting. I wonder if XBLA will be next.

I hope the emulation is better than what it is on the Wii Virtual Console.  The US needs more of what Japan has on their PSN.

The PSN in the US has a few Genesis games like Gunstar Heroes, but I hear that the emulation isn't perfect and is actually way off on the sound... though I haven't tried it myself.

Genesis emulation is kinda poor on the XBLA too. Since it's all high level language, it's probably just a port of the same emulation core they use for PS3. SOR2 has some funky sound artifacts. Sonic 2 seemed to be ok for the most part. But the graphic filter choices suck ass. I heard Wii's emulation for PCE/TG16 is better than what's on XBLA. But I don't have a Wii, so I'm not sure how its PCE and MD emulation is.

Are you blind?!?!  :P

Just joking, obviously.  It's interesting news, though I doubt that we'll ever see 'em in NA.  Can anyone translate these chickenscratches (http://www.hudson.co.jp/pcea/jpn/title.html) to see if there's anything newsworthy?  The only thing that I can decipher is that they've added Super Star Soldier to the lineup.

Actually, I did a search and that didn't pop up. This being the end all for PCE news/related stuff, always expect this kinda stuff to show up here. I was surprised when I didn't see it.

Hudson did Bomberman Live (and the PSN port of that), so maybe there's a chance this will come to NA. I mean, Hudson being the relative factor. Well, I assume they wanted to for sometime now (making money and all) - so maybe there's still some legal tie-ups/conflicts for the NA region involving Nintendo Wii? Or maybe it is as simple as not really interested in the NA market for XBLA and PSN. Not that it really effects me either way.

The PC Engine Game Archives will be playable on PSP and PS3, which means we'll be able to take Devil's Crush on the go for the first time since the TurboExpress -- thus elevating the PSP to the best system since the TurboExpress.

lulzery.
