Title: More Hu boots...
Post by: nectarsis on October 04, 2009, 11:34:22 AM
I know there has been a few here and there:

Altered Beast
that Volleyball game

I personally haven't seen these before:

Are there any more to add to the KINGS Hu boot list?

I think one of the Formation Soccer titles, I can't remember which one.

I've never seen any of the cases before. Interesting.

We've seen a bunch of bootleg HuCards over the years... check out VideoGameDen (IIRC) for a few of them. I recall someone else documenting pretty thoroughly, but it might have been a french/japanese site.

I've seen at least two 4-in-1 HuCards:
1. 4 puzzle games (Cratermaze, Blodia, etc.)
2. ???, dammit, I can't remember, but I was surprised by the choices. Helpful, aren't I?

You're totallly right Esteban, I do indeed have a bunch of pirates reviewed on my site, Here's a link (http://videogameden.com/vgden_pi.htm)
I've also tried to list all the pirates I have seen throughout the years, I have about 30 listed here (http://videogameden.com/article.htm?list?hu_sp) - in that list, you can move the mouse over a cart name to see  thumbnails :)

Hmm, I saw a bunch of what I now assume must've been bootlegs at liberty in akihabara two weeks ago. I'm back in the states now, so I can't check, but they were baffling to me because they were in the PC engine section, but had no PCE designation on them. I was worried I'd walk home with a drama CD or something (I think they might've been cds, not carts).

Oh well...next time. Unless someone else is in Tokyo and wants to check it out?

A rather interesting looking one.

That's different from the one on lkermel's site, so is Kyuukyoku Tiger so awesome that it was worth pirating twice?  Er, probably not.  :D

Yeah, sometimes you have to question the pirates' choice of games to bootleg.

Even a hardcore Tiger Heli fan, such as myself, has to wonder if these things sold like hotcakes*.

:)

* Who here has ever purchases a hotcake?
