Title: spooky TG tunes!
Post by: guyjin on November 13, 2009, 09:39:35 AM
So I'm putting together a themed soundtrack for some members of another forum - the theme is supposed to be Halloween. They don't know I have a secondary theme of Videogame music

So I need some spooky tunes from the TG16. What I've got so far, is pretty much the entire soundtracks from:

Ninja Spirit
Splatterhouse
Alien Crush
Devil's crush

I'm a little afraid to use Drac X because it might blow their minds. And make me look like an even bigger nerd. Also, I don't need the extra competition for my copy!

So any suggestions, other than those?

The music from the 'galactic dancing' bonus rounds on Galaga.  Sehr gespanstich.

On second thought, how 'bout some of the tunes from Legendary Axe II, Samurai Ghost, and Beyond Shadowgate?

hmmm...I'm tempted to throw on Ghost Manor, finally, to see what the tunes are like on that.  :-k

Anything in Deep Blue. That should horrify anyone.

Actually, the stage 2 theme from Deep Blue would be great for this project.

This one from Shockman is pretty good.

There are a couple of distortions in the beginning, i was doing too many things at once.

Dudes, shame on you, you missed the obvious:
Anything from Legendary Axe II, since that has such brooding, atmospheric music.
As for Legendary Axe...at least two tracks would suit your needs: the "cave #2 music" (stage 5?) and the "maze of rooms" (stage 7?) music.

I'll probably think of more :)

Fail!  That was the first serious suggestion made.  [-( . . . . . .  :P

Wait. Where?

Oh, you wrote your suggestions in italics. They were hard to read :)

Good thing I mentioned tracks from a second game, otherwise it would have been even more embarassing.
