Title: Godzilla Controls
Post by: nikdog on November 21, 2009, 03:04:36 PM
What the hell are they?

I got;
Run:Pause Game
I:Jump
II:Punch
II+Short Pause:Long Punch
II+Down:Low Punch
II+Down+Short Pause:Tail Whip
II+Down+Arms Locked:Bite

But there's got to be more, the damn bird thing can do so much more to me and his green bar thing will go down. So there has to be commands I don't know.

Here's all of Godzilla's moves:

Short Punch - II (release immediately)
Power Punch - II (hold longer)
Duck Punch - Down + II (release immediately)
Duck Tail Sweep - Down + II (hold longer)
Dash - Down + I (continues as long as Down is held)
Head Butt - II during a dash
Jump Punch - II during a jump
Jump Kick - Down + II during a jump
Bite - Down + II in a clinch
Shoulder Throw - Up, Towards (or Away) + II in a clinch
Body Glow - Down, Down-Towards, Towards + II in a clinch
Tail Attack - Down, Down-Away, Away + II in a clinch (invincible attack)
Fire Radiation - Down, Down-Towards, Towards + II (continues as long as II is held, press Up/Down to change direction of fire radiation)
Hyper Radiation Rays - Up, Away, Towards + II
Jump Radiation Rays (1) - Up, Away, Towards + II during a jump
Jump Radiation Rays (2) - Up, Away, Towards + I-II during a jump
Roar - Up, Away, Down, Towards, Up (seemingly useless and I can't pull it off with any sort of consistency)

I take it you don't have a manual.  I'm too busy lazy to type up the other character's moves just this moment, but if I get a chance, I'll take it to work next week and scan in the manual.

Thanks!

Now I should be able to get past the first stage.

 even without any move list this game shouldn't be that hard...I beat it never cracking open the manual.

yes but if you don't use all of the fun special moves the game is extremely boring and empty.

True, but for me (before fighting games got ridiculous with the amount of moves) half the fun is experimentation. ;)

Agreed.  For only two buttons, it controls quite well and it's easy to pull off the special moves.  Excepting that damn roar, of course.

True.  If you're familiar with other fighting games, you'll figure out most of the special moves pretty quickly in Godzilla, since it mostly uses the standard button combinations found in 98% of all fighting games.
