Title: Wanted: Factory Sealed Turbo Games
Post by: pooch on November 24, 2009, 10:23:51 AM
Hello guys, I am a newbie here and would like some help. I was trying to work out a deal about some factory sealed games with TZD before they closed down but unfortunately the deal didn't work out. I would like to believe that these sealed games still exist and were sold to the company that took over TZD. I believe that company is RedFrogUSA. I bought a few games from them on Ebay. However, not long after, they were no longer registered on Ebay.

My question is did RedFrogUSA sell off all the remaining stock on Ebay or what happened to them? Is there any possible way to still get in touch with RedFrogUSA?

Thanks alot for your help!

UPDATE:

I tried to contact bt but no luck. I have no other ways to contact Steve. If you know how to get in touch with him please let me know. I want to buy any mint condition factory sealed Turbo games. If you got some for sale, please contact me. Thanks very much  O:)

Holy cow!  TZD is gone?!?

Try the search function, buddy.  There's plenty to read regarding their death and dismemberment: clickitty, clack, don't talk back.  You can find pretty much everything they had to offer still for sale on ebay (through yet another RedFrog account or via someone else offering the same goods), and I wouldn't even attempt to contact such a shady company outside of the protections provided by ebay/paypal.  Just out of curiosity, what were you looking for?  Maybe someone here can help.

They kept selling fake, or generic, or homemade AV cables marked as original, or OEM until their disappearance.

the stock of turbo stuff that they had is all over ebay now.  RedFrog wasn't much of anything other than a mess.

Thanks for the links, I completely forgot that I could have used the search function, sorry about that.

So would any of you happen to know the "other" account name for Regfrog?

I am basically looking for the rarer games. I could post up a list if you want.

I just sent an email to ampie.com which should have also been run by Steve of TZD but it got bounced.

The last known vendor of TZD stock was "GameTimeVault" on ebay. I think they only have Sports titles and Turbo pads left.

Yeah, the rare titles were the first to go.  If RedFrog did have any such titles left, you can rest assured that they wouldn't be selling 'em to you cheap when they can toss 'em on ebay for maximum profits.

Hey :). Steve probably couldn't help beyond sharing the details of his deal with RedFrog (selling his remaining stock + tzd.com domain to RedFrog). AFAIK, he was not involved in RedFrog's operations.

Whether Steve kept some items for himself, and whether he would be willing to sell them, of course, is another matter entirely.

I understand the price would not be cheap, I just messaged Gametimevault and asked, will keep you guys posted.

Anyone knows how to get in touch with Steve?

I doubt that all of the stock moved on ebay.  Ask Roy - He likes to wallpaper his house in sealed games when he's not reselling them at inflated prices.
I bought 4882 sealed games not to long ago.  I'm good for now

Thanks for the contacts, I emailed him at mindrec, hope he will answer me, keeping my fingers crossed.

Does Roy REALLY have that many sealed games?

He's actually not one of those d-bags that buys sealed games to stare at on the shelf. It was one large score he made a few months back from a fellow on Craigslist. All unopened Sega titles and lots of duplicates, IIRC.

Correct.  None of them were Turbo.

$4.00-$8.00 each for sealed games is what I am charging for them on eBay.  Yup, I severely inflated them.  DAMN ME!

Nah, I never listed any of my stuff here for sale for a reason. I'll just leave it at that.

A guru once said, "Remember, you can't call Mr. Garwood. He'll call you."

And therein lies the answer you've been looking for.
