Post by: Gogan on December 10, 2009, 04:41:08 AM
Anybody have an extra working duopad you could part with?

I lost one during a recent move :(

I'm still in need of one of these, I'll take a PCE pad, ...anything that'll work.

Interesting looking thing,...anyone have experience with the Blaster 3-button pad? Looks kinda clunky.

I have one. It is a comfortable clunky. There aren't too many 3 button games to make it useful.

I'll look through my goods.  I know I've got 2 duo pads, I might have a 3rd, I'll have to check.  If not I think I've got some spare turbo pads, although that may not help you much.

Thatd be cool, really cool if ya had a 3rd you could part with :)

And yea, turbopad wouldn't work out, have one I started to mod, but due time constraints, had to give it up :(

...it takes about as much time to mod a Turbo pad as it does to make these posts.

Maybe we're talking about different mods. The one I'm think of, the cable swap, would take about 1 minute.

Ahh but you have to have a cable to swap :P

I have a Blaster and it's my go-to pad except when I need to play a 6-button game. The things are badass. Not clunky at all IMO.

No, I don't. In fact I'm -2 since I have a TG-16 pad (useless because I don't own a TG-16) and a PCE pad with a broken pin (also useless).

I'm just talking about the work involved.

Ok, checked out my stocks.  I've got 2 duo pads and an Ave 6 pad (and two turbo pads I think).  One of my duo pads does not seem to work however.  The D pad responds, but the run / select and I and II buttons don't.  I'm thinking I'll swap the board out of one of my beat up Turbo Pads to make the duo pad functional again.  Cosmetically its in pretty good shape.  If you're interested we can work something for one of the duo pads.  I don't think (sadly) I'll ever see a group larger than 2 people to play on my turbo :(  So no real need for several pads unless one breaks of course :)

Thanks Beamer, I'd wait first cuz I think hoobs is hookin me up (fingers crossed) but we'll def work something out if not.

Zeta, I only have a turbopad and a duo extensdion, so I would have to strip all wires on the end of the extension, reconnect them (couldn't find right connectors to plug into board nd couldnt reuse the ones on the turbopad wires! Too small/frail parts)

Not to mention I belueve I was lacking neccesry tools and am not a electronx whiz (nor want to be lol)

It was just a headache, plus I'm sure my hackjob would suck and not work right, so itd b easier to just find another, nice, working one
