Post by: ApolloBoy on March 08, 2010, 04:11:14 AM
I thought I'd offer some basic modding and repair services, here's a list of what I can do:

*Atari 2600 voltage regulator replacement
*Atari 5200 power mod (for 4-port consoles only, lets you plug the power supply straight into the console)
*Atari 5200 S-video mod
*Atari 800XL chroma fix (restores S-video)
*Atari 1200XL chroma fix (restores S-video and improves video quality through composite)
*AV Famicom controller port fix (lets you use the Zapper and other NES peripherals on the AV Famicom)
*Colecovision AV mod
*Commodore 64 S-video mod (lets you use standard S-video and RCA cables)
*NES external audio mod (for use with the PowerPak, Famicom carts with audio chips, and the Famicom Disk System, I've performed this twice so far)
*NES lockout chip disable
*NES connector replacement/repair
*Game Gear cap replacement
*Genesis region switches (model 1 only)
*Genesis S-video mod (model 1 only)
*Neo-Geo AES S-video mod
*N64 cart slot trimming (for Japanese games)
*PSP screen replacement (PSP 1000 only)
*Sega CD fuse replacement (done this twice so far)
*SMS S-video mod
*SNES cart slot trimming
*TurboDuo cap replacement
*TurboExpress cap replacement
*VIC-20 AV mod (lets you use standard RCA cables)

Not yet at least. I don't have an RGB monitor or anything of the sort to test it with, so RGB mods are a no-go until then.

I finally got a component capable TV the other day... plan on trying it out with this little $40 RGB to Component converter I picked up on ebay a few months back... First I gotta mod a Duo for RGB tho... should be a fun project.

And I know when I started this I had a point.  I think it was that you can get RGB to Component converters... might be a handy do-dad to keep around and use with your other consoles as well.
