I'm new to the forums, but been an on and off lurker here for some time. I haven't play my Turbo stuff in a long time. As a whole this package is way to hard to put a price on. You do have some harder to find items and I can tell you many of the people on the forums would be more than happy to take some of them off your hands. Are you really looking to get rid of it as a package or are you considering breaking it up?
-
well, If I get rid of it, I'd rather do it as a package because I'm gonna get rid of all of it. If I break it up, it'll get cherry picked and I'll end up with World court tennis and Keith courage probably lol. Really, I haven't really decided what to do yet though. I been wanting to buy a pinball machine, and I thought, hey, turbo duo stuff could do that for me.
-
ya you have some great games there and some toughies to find... in this case you might be best splitting it up to get the rare games to the people who need them at a fair price and then the duo combined with some of the more common games as a bundle. Might end up getting more out of selling it this way as well.
there are a couple games there i would likey if you do decide to break!!

My thoughts exactly and entirely, Sell the rarer games, maybe keep a few to throw in the duo package. You'll make more money piecing out what people want in terms of games only, then whatever doesn't sell, throw that in with the duo. If you part this out you can probably make (This is a rough guesstamate) somewhere around 400-500$? The duo is worth around 200 in itself if it's CIB. But you'd probably make 300-400$ If you sell it all at once, maybe even less.

I'd say that's a very low estimate.
3 girly games
Beyond Shadowgate
Bonk 3 CD
Cotton
Dungeon Explorer 2
Dynastic Hero
Exile:Wicked Phenomenon(with slip sleeve)
Godzilla
Might and Magic III
Super Air Zonk
Easily way over your estimate with just those games alone. And a CIB Duo should easily fetch $200-250 if not more.
-
Yeah, I think you'll make more splitting it up the way mentioned above. Seperate the rare games and sell the common games and the system together. Just the rare games you'll get easy over $1,000. I'd bet you could get 2K or so splitting it up maybe around 1K all as one.
-
I'm interested in the 3 girly games and Dynastic Hero (4 of the 5 games needed to complete my collection)
-
well, I've got a lot of input on the duo titles, with a total of around $2800 broken up. Still looking for some Hu card Values.
I probably won't do anything till after the 17th of April. I may just do a big BIN on ebay with best offer, and see what happens. don't know yet still, but I am leaning towards selling them.
-
You have a lot of interest on these boards, and you don't have to worry about ebay fees. Of course it is your stuff, so do what you want, but why lose that 12% if you can sell here?
Anyone here able to come up with a decent offer, then could break up for everyone? I just booked a vacation, so I unfortunately fall short of the entire lot asking price, but there are definitely a few games I would like!
-
Indeed I agree with you Clash.
I sold many of my games around here and other forum very lil less than ebay but profit 5 under and over (about same).
It s pretty good.. I loved the way Sparky said about this "you might be best splitting it up to get the rare games to the people who need them at a fair price and then the duo combined with some of the more common games"
It s true.. I would have done the same. Get the top dollars on each games. As package will cut you about 15 to 20% of expect price range due to BUNDLE deal...
It s your sweet call thos. LMK if you are willing to break up deals.. Im after Super Air Zonk to up deal with one VIP member here =)

BTW - probably get $300-$400 for the hu lot.
-
Hm I went low on the prices I know, But thats the bare minimum he would make, not saying he couldn't make more.

Hahaha... you and that top dollar wmac :P.... and i think this guy is after that as well which is fine and why he will post it on ebay.
It would have been nice for some of the members to get a chance on some of these before it gets bought by a high roller as a bundle and then resold back on da bay at "market value" :P
oh well, i am moving on.....
-
Agreed, Sparky. If the OP is looking for top dollar, just post it on ebay and quit wasting everyone's time.
-
well, I was asking for a price check, not a sale yet. Also I've received some very fair offers and some not so fair offers. $600 for the duo collection is not fair. $300 for air zonk, terraforming and godzilla is not fair. I also said, even to the fair offers that I'm not gonna do anything till after I get back from a trip.
I don't think $300 for the hu lot is fair. 37 boxed hu's / for $300 would be $8 a piece. while maybe you can buy a world court tennis or something for $8, I have air zonk, soldier blade, etc, in that lot that I know are worth far more than that.
Those who made fair offers, know who you are and know the situation. Maybe I should have listed this in the discussion forum instead, though I'm sure I would have been bombard with offers then too. I'm looking for info atm, not a sale.
-
"$300 for air zonk, terraforming and godzilla is not fair"
These all could be nabbed for well under $300, even with Terraformings jump lately, and Godzillas jumping back and forth.
-
well air zonk CD by itself is $200 or better. been offer $250 alone for it here.
-
Air Zonk and Super Air Zonk are 2 very different games..and you stated it as the original :P
-
oh, agreed, air zonk Hu is far cheaper. I'm really not trying to argue prices... Hell that's what I came here for.
-
You need to sell them separate to maximize your return.
Ebay is a crap shoot. There are always $300 might and magics, there are always $180 Dungeon Explorer 2, $150 Godzillas, and $90 Air Zonks - so you know those aren't prices you can expect to sell at. Like I learned in Grad School, Dynastic Hero is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. That, and stay away from hookers with walkie-talkies.
Not to be a total 'terd in a punch bowl' d-bag, but three weeks ago a seller on ebay had roughly HALF of the SCD games you have listed, plus some gem Hucards, in a bundle that sold for $175 in a 7 day AUCTION. No mis-spelled title, no crappy pics. DE2, Exile:WP, Beyond Shadowgate, Order of Griffon, Vasteel, and about 20 other 'notables' for $175. That auction has was noted in a thread here a few weeks back.
Break them apart here or eBay if you're looking to maximize your return.
Camelot, tis a silly place.

That was indeed a seven day auction, but it had a $175 BIN that lasted all of thirty minutes before someone snagged it.

I stand corrected, and remain jealous of the lucky winner.

The folks here love to help and will give you advice & thoughts, but you did say your likely going to throw it all on ebay, its like why bother saying anything else then.
Did not mean to come off bitter but the word "ebay" puts me in a foul mood!!
PS: it sounds like you have decided what is fair and what is not anyway.
-
I don't mean to sound like a dick either, I didn't name names on the offers.
who wouldn't buy a duo collection for $600?
Not looking for $300 for MM3 but not looking $100 either
I haven't sold anything on ebay in probably 2 years, I really don't like it either. In fact, once ever thing is settled, the duo collection will probably go to one user here who has made a good offer. Just saying
-
Here's the thing as has been alluded to: you're going to make the most money doing two things:
1. Selling individually
2. Selling on eBay with good pics and descriptions
But that being said, you will be packing and mailing 50-100 items. You will be paying eBay fees. You will likely have deadbeat bidders. Those things together make a single, large sale attractive in this situation. I'm sure you have good offers already and it'll make it easier for you in the long run to punt a bit of the $$ for the convenience. Also, the variance in price on the items makes a lump sum purchase a bit more stable for you as the seller. Probably.
Either way he's selling to me for $132.32 and a bag of donuts so you can all just move along.

I offered him $132.32 + bag of Cool Ranch Doritos. Crap. :(
Donuts.

If he pushed for krullers or bearclaws I would've pulled the offer though.

If you sell your collection on ebay you will get good money. BUT if you sell it here you know that people will appreciate it more that a fly by night collector.
-
The bummer deal with ebay is that the final value fees recently went up. Numbers I saw put it around 15% on BIN auctions, 9% on regular auctions. Paypal takes 3%, so you're looking at losing 18% or 12% respectively. Thus something that auctions off on ebay for $300 could be sold here for $270 and you'd come out ahead.
