Title: coregrafx expansion port
Post by: neofx on April 03, 2010, 09:17:55 PM
Hi,

I am looking for the male connector for the pcengine expansion port, since I would like to make a jamma adapter for it without having
to open the console. For know I was unable to find any references on the web.

Any information welcome !

thank you

Is that the same as the 3x23 connector on the back of the TG16?  Got mine from Digikey..it was a 3x? that was too long, so I cut it.  Get the right angle connector, cut it to fit....plugs right into a PCB (with .1x.1 centers...either a perf board, or a homebrew) and holds it in place very nicely.

Where else can you get these connectors, what are they called? Wouldn't a female connector plug into the slot directly?

They are called Euro Connectors over here at least( http://www.ornatus.se/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=55&Itemid=40&lang=english ), but the PC Engine version has a non-standard lenght so you'll most likely have to buy a longer and cut it to the correct lenght. The PCE connector is also fairly deep which might pose a problem.
