Title: hucard not working
Post by: AlexKidd on July 14, 2005, 06:41:59 PM
I got a copy of Aero Blasters today and I can't get it to work. When I put it in the system I get a black screen and some beeping sounds. Then I press run and it gives me an image similar to that of an nes game when it's not working properly. I tried to clean the contacts with an eraser but it's still doing the same thing. Any suggestions?

Perhaps try using just a little bit of alcohol and drying it off? I only have two HuCards that give me problems when loading, but they usually work fine if I just wipe them with my shirt and load them again. This is one of the beauties of HuCards; typically never give you trouble loading them unlike cartridges!

Do you have this problem with any other HuCards? If so, then the contacts on your console might be dirty. If AeroBlasters is the only game giving you problems, then follow Keranu's suggestion (inspect, and if necessary, clean the contacts on the AB HuCard).

BEFORE you do any cleaning, though, try to "wiggle" (side-to-side) the HuCard in the slot.  There IS a little bit of room to play with, but not much.
