Ok I know this sounds kinda odd, but I'm thinking of combining the PCE and a PC-FX into one unit. The PC-FX has more than enough room for the PCE motherboard. This picture looks a little crude, but I was wondering whatcha people think?

Edit: The Super CDROM2 would obviously be external.

That would be pretty cool, kinda like that sharp x thing that has the pc engine, but only white instead. hehe. Man, I sure wish I had some pancakes right now....not sure why though =P~

Bad idea. There's little point in hiding a PCE (one of the best looking consoles ever made) inside of a PC-FX. Plus, the CD add-on would look rather goofy sitting by itself outside the PC-FX, necessitating an unsightly bunch of cables snaking out to it.

Does the PC-FX use a similar communications method to the SCD? If it's backwards compatible/similar enough you could insert a switching chip and use the PC-FX drive for both after pulling out the SCD's digital innards.
