Title: laseractive/pac-n1 questions
Post by: guyjin on May 24, 2010, 02:19:22 AM
a couple of dumb questions about the Laseractive:

1) does the pac-n1 have an external system card like most combo units, or is it built in like a Duo's?
2) would it accept a normal system card, or can it only use its own? If you gave it an Arcade Card, would it work only with a pro, or a duo?

1) It has a System 3.0 card built in like the Duo.
2) Arcade Duo card will definitely work with it. I'm pretty sure an Arcade Pro card will with it as well since they work on Duos.

If you have a US Laseractive you still need a converter to use the arcade card. AFAIK, you need one of these bad boys... called a Big Green Diving Board, back in the day...

its the big brother to the Bastard Barney converter... for us old-timers :)
here's a pic of mine...

Last converter I got was in the 90's, not sure if the newer ones addressed the LaserActive's design
16-bit stuff was built to last
later gamers

The N-1 module is the Japanese one.
The N-10 module is the US one.
A converter would only be needed for the N-10 module.
