Title: Programming games with the pc-fx ga using bundled software ( Same Game )
Post by: ajaybali on July 10, 2010, 12:41:24 AM
Hi,

This is a question for all those who are lucky enough to have a pc-fx ga card hooked up to an NEC 98XX ( 9801, 9821, etc. ) computer.

How easy is it to make games with the bundled software ( Same Game FX ) ?

And I was wondering if any demos were made using Same Game FX, and if they are available somewhere for us to see ?

Thanks in advance !

Its a collosal pain in the dick/vagina.

If you cant read Japanese you are totally screwed, and even then its a dodgy mess.

and then the end result software may not even run on a real PC-FX, lol.

total disaster.   Fun to diddle around with, but its about as serious as the cd-i

Same Game FX is a *game*, you don't make games with it.

NEC/Hudson in their nickel-and-dime fashion sold the actual homebrew SDK software separately(AFAIK, but it's possible they included it with the FXGA later on), as "GMAKER".

Edit: Oops, topic necromancy.
