Although I knew that NEC had a clone of the Pioneer LaserActive, I didn't figure that they'd cloned the Pac(s) as well. I was wrong:

Very cool, I wonder if this was packed in with the NEC Laseractive?
As much as I would like to get the Japanese LA stuff, I already put a fortune into the US stuff, and I am sure this is super expensive.

Compared to US stuff, the LA is probably cheaper. $300 will get you a system. Some of the more rare PACs are hard to find, but they aren't really useful anyway. Just getting the PCE and MD PACs isn't very expensive.
The games...price seems to go all over the place, but a lot of them are pretty cheap. Some are very expensive...I guess it depends if you want to complete the collection or not.

I wish they had RGB or at least S-Video.

I personally like the audio/video displays from the LaserActive, but...
Years ago a friend modded his LA with S-video, and claimed it was the easiest mod he's ever done, so...
there is hope my friend
(found a linky for you)

...from the page..."This is a stunningly easy mod. Much like SNK, Pioneer has kindly labelled everything inside their player pretty clearly."
I've got 2 spare LA's that need need new capacitors, looks like I've got a new project!
