It's Batman NES.  ARE YOU SAYING THAT THE TURBO SOUNDS LIKE AN NES???  Dude, peeps on this forum are gonna be pissed, might wanna change that.  Actually, I'm kind of happy they didn't use Turbo music.  It would insult the Turbo!

Knowing the difference of good hip hop from shit hop/hip pop, here are some beats sampling game music that I approve of.

Now i don't know how liscensing works (shit...nor can i spell it right) but would SUNSOFT be able to go after these guys with a lawsuit or anything?  Cause if they're selling records and profiting....then they should have to pay to use that wicked theme...even though they're wasting the whole f*cking theme just using the intro part...

The castlevania III one was alright, but the final fantasy 7 battle music one was a butcher job... I can't believe people make money doing this.

While the production is better, and these guys are slightly less irritating the those other guys, the MCing is...not my cup of tea. That style a lot of people use in mainstream rap where they sound like a drunk guy with a wad of tobacco in his cheek. Its just...ignorant and lazy crap, IMO.

For the last 15 years or so I've listened to pretty much no mainstream hip hop at all since its %99.9 garbage. All this time I've been absorbed guys like Chali 2na, Immortal Technique, Lateef, Gift of Gab, Aceyalone, Doom, Del, Edan, Lif, Saul Williams, POS, etc and my tolerance for the shit they play on the radio has gone to zero. Only the worst shit makes it on the air. Guys with nothing to say, and no skillful way of saying it. Its true what they say, they actually can't rap! I though it was just a rhetorical insult, but those dudes that max their credit card on two outfits, rent a Lambo, and do hand jive in front of a fisheye lens actually can't rap. Pathetic.

Yeah, Aceyalone is probably my favorite MC ever personally, though J-Live is up there as well, along with Chali 2na, Awol One, Busdriver, Ab Rude, Gift of Gab, Lateef & Lyrics Born, the Genius/Gza, Playdough, Scarub, LMNO, L*Roneous, Killah Priest, Mars Ill, Subtitle, & Ugly Duckling.

As for if Sunsoft could sue them?  Absolutely!  However, they probably aren't making any real money, for all I know, they could only take them to small claims court.  Ususally, artists that aren't very big, can get away with lot's of copyrighted stuff.  Not like the old days, when people didn't bitch about someone using a sample from something, people are too fricken picky.  When my brother was in the industry as an MC & producer, there were many that wanted BIG $ for samples of their stuff since they started cracking down in the early 90's, it was a bummer to be sure.  I think if anything, I think people should just be required to list who they sampled, that way, the people listening to the song may want to check out whatever artist was sampled.

Zeta I feel like it's pretty much always been that way, at least since I started listening to Rap in the early 90s.

For example, from Ice Cube's Predator album, the songs that got played on the radio/mtv were and while the much more politically conscious and socially revolutionary and got no play on mtv or radio.
