Title: Which game would go into your coffin?
Post by: Sinistron on September 24, 2010, 04:52:51 AM
Now- I'm being cremated (if my wishes are taken up on)- but this is just for argument's sake.  If they were going to bury you with ONE Turbo or PCE game- which would it be?  I myself need time to think it over.

None; games are for playing.  Plus when I come back as a zombie, I don't want to risk it giving me a taste for Turbob instead of brains.

Fray and Yuna.

bitches be hot, yo.

hmmm what if you got crEAmated when you died, and they turned you into cream.

You cold be a real a$$hole and make them use you for the cake frosting at the funeral's after-party thing and laugh on the otherside as everyone eats you.

Depends, are we talking about taking the game to the after life with me or are we just using my death as an opportunity to bury a really crappy PCE game?

None, but Yoshi's Island would be set up at the wake. Sort of like my version of "What a Wonderful World".

Well since I do not intend to be buried alive I would very well not need a game with me in the coffin...
How ever since I'm to be cremated and not be eaten by them worms I guess a realy crappy game should join me in the ashes, sort of me getting the last laugh... Kinda like : Ha got you there yer peice of shit....
But on the other hand if I'm surposed to have the game with me in the after life (If there is any)
Thats a tuff cookie... Eternal City - PCE is one, or Dragon Slayer or perhaps MM3.... NO I think Bonk 3 and I'll could invite god for a 2 player game he´d love it...

When I bought it I was pretty disappointed.  But with out a doubt I have spent more hours playing it than any other turbo game.  World Class Baseball.  I don't even like sports games (well, Power Eleven is on my top 5), but if I start up World Class Baseball an hour or two will just fly by.  So that's the game I'd take I guess.

Space Harrier, the full arcade setup.  But since this is about Turbo games, I'd say maybe R-Type or Legendary Axe (maybe LA 2).  Or maybe Toilet Kids... the more copies of that burned, the better the world becomes (cremation for me also).

hehe, great threadz... I love it... Maybe we should use Keith Courage as the standard death card, maybe print your photo on the actual game over Keith's face. ... I just have been wanting the us card loose for MC,  since I've collected every other US game...

I think being buried with games would be amazing... Maybe nothing too rare to not deprive the youngings..

definitely the turbo stick and tg 16.. Zombies gotta do something...

games are for playing.

What he said. So if they're gonna bury me with a turby game, it would have to be something that really sucked - like Deep Blue.

I kind of feel like the Egyptians, or Tupac, talked about putting stuff in his casket, but it would be rude to bury a copy of MC tho... But, there has got to be a hardcore turbo collector who is buried with one.  I am so nuts to get MC, I will bury that stuff up, and find it :)

I think that being buried with a game is kind of silly, and I want to be cremated anyway, but in the spirit on the conversation, it would probably be Super Mario Bros., Legend of Zelda, or Final Fantasy VII.

I guess you could be creamated and then placed in a nes, snes, neo geo, atari game... Unfortunately, a turbo grafx game would be a bit difficult...

I'm not going to have a coffin, I'm going to tell them to have a bunch of logs set on fire and throw my remains on top of it.

My games will either be donated to an archive or sold off by my gaming illiterate family.  Maybe my son will follow after me and just take good care of it all, or maybe he'll turn out normal and only care about making money and stuff.

When I become terminally ill I will find every copy of Keith courage and bury myself live. Why does everyone want to be cremated?

Just speaking for me, I can't think of any reason to have somebody design a multi-thousand dollar box of wood that looks nice only to stick it in a concrete block in the ground.  For that matter, I can't think of a reason to throw my lifeless body in a concrete block in the ground.

Mostly though, I just don't like the idea of people getting more money from me because I died than I have ever spent on a car.

I would actually like to have a museum or something for my games after I leave this one.  I am not sure how to do so, maybe charge admission or something, for rent, or etc...

I want all my stuff to be played.

Every game I take in a coffin is a turbob not being enjoyed En Masse.

That said, I have 2 copies of Xanadu Pt. 1 :D
