These work great and have a very good range to them. The only downfall I can find is that you have to make sure the controller is pointed close to the area the receiver is in much like a remote control. No aiming your controller downwards or sideways too much. So just make sure nothing is blocking the receiver from your controller such as too much stuff on top of your coffee table.

Hit Japan had these the first week of October for $60 shipped. Same setup 1 tap and 2 pads.
-
Yeah but if you look at that auction you'll see that the controllers were really dirty and the receiver had all kinds of crud on it. Mine are in much nicer condition. Not to mention that I know how to connect this to a US Turbo Grafx 16 so there is another add on that I am throwing in.
-
I'm sure a lot of people would like to see what you're using to connect it to a US setup. Can you post a pic. Are you using an adapter or did you modify the receiver to fit the US system?

I will actually use a standard US Turbo grafx controller cable. You just have to put the wires in the correct order.
-
So are you making a reverse adapter or a reverse tap or are you modding the cable on the actual wireless tap?
-
Sounds like he's just modding the cable on the actual tap.
-
I would be removing the PC engine/Turbo duo cable and basically putting a turbo grafx cable in it's place. Just have to change a couple of the internal colored wires around.
-
It looks like the controller on the right has two gray buttons instead of the normal purple buttons. Were they switched with a regular controller? It might just be the picture that makes it look gray. Would you have a "buy it now" price? I might be interested if you can explain the gray buttons.
-
Hmm, I never really noticed that before about the buttons. You are right. The buttons on the one controller definitely do look a bit gray. However, the buttons are original since you can still see purple around the sides of the button. For some reason the purple has faded even though the controller is clean. Sun Damage? Who knows? I am not the original owner.

Is it the same procedure as modifying a wired tap?
-
hmm, if it is modded to fit US turbografx controller ports, then this shouldn't read TurboGrafx OR Turbo Duo Wireless controllers as it would only work on a TurboGrafx unit.
It's too bad I no longer own a US TurboGrafx ;)

In the ebay listing he says he will put either cord on for the winning bidder. So it's PC-engine, tg16, also DUO...The winning bidder decides.
-
Currently the Receiver has a cable on it that will work for a Turbo duo/PC engine. If whomever wins the auction wants it for a Turbografx 16 instead I will change the controller cable. So yes this is for a Turbo duo or Turbo grafx. Let me know which system you want it for.

oh, that is pretty cool then. Thanks for clearing that up guys!!
