Title: 4-in-1 Hucards
Post by: GameFreak on November 07, 2010, 10:38:29 PM
A while back I saw some 2-in-1 and 4-in-1 multi Hucards. They were kind of chunky like the system card or street fighter2. I assume they are unofficial china copies. Are they made by GamesExpress of a different company? And also I am wondering when it says it has 4 games on one Hucard are they full games or just demos of a few levels. If they are full games (every level), are the graphics just as good as the official hucard game. I saw one with r-type and bonk and a few other ones but I can't find the pics anymore. Anyone here have one they can tell me about?  :-k

They're bootlegs of the original games, which are generally intact with only minor changes (i.e. - copyright notice deletion on the title page).  Fellow member lkermel has a nice collection of pirates; check 'em out over at the Video Game Den (http://www.videogameden.com/vgden_pi.htm).

They aren't from Games Express. The term "pirate" was often used to describe the Games Express stuff, but the only thing they didn't pay for was the PC Engine license fee. They made all their own software. Also, they were Japanese. Also, all their shit sucks.

Yes that is exactly what I saw a while ago. Thanks for the link. Interesting stuff. I might want to pick one of these up if I ever see them again.

I would throw those in a little custom made DS case to match the rest of my non-pirate collection! So where do those turn up?
