To get to 100 games!
Oh, and maybe get to 50 clears. Rags and I have been on this race to 50 clears for what seems like forever. Hopefully this is the year we can put the race behind us and start another race to 100. #-o

Well, since I have only been collecting US released turbob games, I want to break that mind set and expand my horizons by adding some PCE games to my collection, especially some of those shooties. I would also love to add a Super Grafx to my collection if the price is right.
-
Play through a few more Japanese RPGs that I've promised myself to play at some point in the future.
-
I want to beat a few games
Starting with Sherlock Holmes 1 and Murder Club.
-
Getting Ghouls n' Ghosts and Granzort for SGX!
Perhaps a Briefcase CDplayer for PC Engine if I'll find one for a good price and shipping not going to kill the joy :)
Also look for a PC Engine LT but we all know the pricepicture for that one so it's not likely :(
-
Beat Vasteel 2, Galaga '88, and Neutopia.
Get and beat Valis.
Find an Arcade CD game I like besides Sapphire.

I seriously thunked about it, but lets face it, I suck a huge cock when it comes to art. Whos gonna do the art? lol
I mean I could make an arcade card insanity... but that game sucks! Whod wanna play that crap. hah.
Maybe. Just MAYBE, something I thought about one time is doable with an arcade card. I am not sure though, and 90% of the population would be like "da f*ck are you doing thats dumb"
-
True true. What about Sunteam_Paul?
-
I dunno.
Its possible. Ill have to see where things stand post retrocade.

Seriously, I'm not even joking.

Henjin has a multi meaning - Obviously the play on Genjin, then Hen-Jin (Hen - Person) and also Henjin means eccentric which ties in with the plot of an eccentric (female) inventor that has accidentally transformed themselves into a chicken.
I know, it's sad I think about these things in such detail.

I'm going to try to beat the first stage in Image Fight II

I gotta say, I chuckled a bit at henshin (変身-transformation), which is also a play on the the genjin (原人-caveman), and still has the English word ties to hen.
Though henjin (変人) is also a weird person, so if you want to keep the "eccentric" bit, that's gotta stay. I'm not sure 変人 is a term that the Japanese use in a daily language though (I had to look the term up in the dictionary, and it does exist), as I've heard "strange person" referred more to as 変な人 (henna hito). Someone better at Japanese can perhaps clarify...

I hope to spend more time OBEYing and continue to add to the collection when the price is right.
Find an Arcade CD game I like besides Sapphire.
If you like vs. fighters, you should try Kabuki Itouryodan - it plays good, looks fantastic, is relatively cheap, and it ain't available elsewhere. Another good one is Madou Monogatari - it's great fun and cute as hell, but it's also unfortunately pricey.
-
Try to save money vrs completing my Hu Card Collection ;-)
-
My resolution would be to talk one of yous guys to sell me a copy of Beyond Shadowgate. Tax checks will be flowin' soon........so.....hint-hint....nudge-nudge.... :P
-
Work on my collection when the price is right (bought WAY too much stuff recently, I think the wife's on to me!). I hope to hit some garage sales this year looking for more Turbo stuff, because you never know what you might find, and have day dreams of finding something like Beyond Shadowgate, Might and Magic, or dare I say Magical Chase in the wild.
-
Hmmm.... seems the most common OBEY resolution is 256x239. :)
-
ha ha ha very clever!!.............. from a guy from Idaho or whatever  j/k

I would also suggest Jackie Chan!

yeah, i've heard those were good, but the thing is, i never end up beating hardly any game unless i can save.
I must be hyperactive or something, i can't seem to sit and play one game for 12 hours like some people.

Well, with NAI you have unlimited continues so you can just have 15-30 minute sessions and still make great progress. I'm the same way with games, which is one of the reasons I love older games, as they're much more suited for shorter gaming sessions. However, I have been known to burn the midnight oil with certain games from time to time. heh

I'm not a huge platformer guy {I like Shooters, RPGs and Sports games}, I bought Drac X about 6 months ago and have still yet to play it so I guess my goal is to finally play and beat the game and enjoy a platformer for once.

I MUST:
(1) Beat some PCE shooters that have been gathering dust for years: Rabio Lepus, Download 1 & 2, etc.
(2) Find the subwoofer for my modified 1950's CRT "game station" (The subwoofer has been packed in a box since I moved 4 years ago). Pics to follow when I dust off this fine piece of television history. The original pics were lost when an old laptop died 6-7 years ago.
(3) Continue defying all that is natural by drinking a pot of coffee a day.
(4) In 2011, I hope to accomplish a few of the resolutions I made all the way back in 2008.
-
Estaban, has your CRT been modified with A/V jacks???

I had a working vintage 1950's RCA B/W TV. I played consoles/DVD/VCR via RF. It was a blast while it lasted, but it eventually broke:

NOTE: I have an earlier, BW model, but it looks very similar to this later model.
FATEFUL: I pulled out the huge mono speaker from the TV cabinet and installed stereo speakers in its place. The subwoofer, which is huge, can be hidden underneath/behind the cabinet. The vacuum tubes for the old CRT were expensive to replace, so I made the painful decision (a few years ago), to replace the B/W convex CRT (which was nearly an oval in shape) with a "modern" color set. A 19" television was the biggest size screen I could fit in the cabinet.
I'll take pictures again one of these days...

Wow! Talk about Back-To-The-Future! :)

did you tap the new tube for RGB?

did you tap the new tube for RGB?
No. I'm still not sure when (if) I ever go down that road. I tend to have my little eccentricities...

YEAH WELL I SAW IT ON A RE...... ... RUN....

-
My Obey resolution is to stop buying so many damn sega games and save my money for GOOD PCE games. Oh and to beat a SHMUP without turning up the continues/lives. I always give up around the second to last level.

Here's an old pic I found from my previous house:
Subwoofer hidden in corner behind TV.
Cable DVR hidden behind wooden speaker grill (infrared remote worked fine).
VHS/DVD player visible under TV.
