RASTAN SAGA II
THE BEST REVIEW AROUND
-
Any feedback on the new layout & extended review format is appreciated :)
-
awesome reading it now!!!
-
Wow. I love these!! Hopefully one day we will see these offered as a hard-copy. I for one would sure buy em!! Even if its several in one. I want em! Thanks. I like the new layout. I still download them in pdf format tho.
-
The main thing that concerns me about producing something as a 'sellable' hardcopy are the pitfalls of copyright with some of the images I use. It's one thing to grab images from TV etc for a free online mag, but when you are essentially making money from it...not so straightforward.
Maybe, in the future, I could make a redesigned compilation which is set up for print (i.e. smaller fonts, printer's spreads, bleeds and cut marks etc) that could be downloaded and taken to a copy place.

lol awesome atricles. I hace a hacked psp i wish I could put it on there as a digital comic like they go w the psp go. Its really easy to use. rastan and monster lair were great reviews. I liked the newstopia as well. if you made a real zine id so buy it!!!! *pops in monster lair*

Issuu says that print services are coming soon, hopefully not at federal-pound-me-in-the-ass prices.

I love the promo videos!
-
I would love to have hard copies of all the PCE Gamer mags.
Also, this issue was great. The smart bomb top 5 was great, especially since I just played Tatsujin and Kyoyokyoktyoroirtohijreogij Tiger a little bit ago.
The layout is nice. And the Overly complicated scoring system is the best.
I vote you review Energy next.
Thats what you should do. Review a game everyone basically hates/makes fun of.
Now I really gotta port hydlide, so you can review that!

Just read it all Sunteam. Great stuff as always! :)
-
DURP. HAHAHA!!
great as always paul! :D
And I cound't agree more on the smartbomb rank. Kyuukyoku Tiger beats em all!!
-
Bummer about Joe getting bored with Oath in Felghana  I got sucked into the original PC version.......& then got sucked into the PSP version. It's still basically a top down game though, I don't quite consider it 3D, but, that's just me. It'd be wierd to play Ys truly in 3D, like, 3rd person, or worse, 1st person! Anyhoo, I actually wish the levels were longer, & I loved the Metroidvania elements in it. Gotta be my favorite Ys next to Ys Origin.
Anyways, I hope we get out Mysterious Song by the next issue, that would be cool.

I have not read this yet because I fear that the Rastan Saga II review will be...harsh. :)
-
I liked the new layout and the "spot the differences" section. That makes me lmao.

He's actually very nice to the game. Giving it positive light where it deserves it. All two of 'em. :)
-
I'm looking forward to reading this. The other 3 were awesome.

I tried printing some of issue 1 out once, it really doesn't look that great when it's on paper.
I vote you review Energy next.
Don't make me come over there and punch you.

You might be surprised. There are genuine quotes from my review: "...propel the player into new and quite amazing realms...", "They have succeeded superbly in creating a sequel...", "What makes Rastan Saga II so great..."

Great Work yet again :D
-
Man, this was a blast ! I loved it - and I particularly like your sense of humor. The new layout works really well I think. Great work Paul !!!!! :D

No PC Denjin smart bomb?! Yeah, you're right, it's a piece of shit :p

Thanks for all the comments. It's nice to get feedback because otherwise I never know if anyone is really reading it (same with wibble). Of course I could look at the 'statistics' but that's not very personal and I don't completely trust them :)

That reminds me, did my review of wibble on iTunes ever get posted? I never checked. We should rally the troops here to provide some votes/reviews of Wibble :)
BACK on topic: It has been decided: I will read this issue of PC Engine Gamer, afterall.

Wibble has one review on iTunes, dunno if that's yours. Podcasts are a bit of a pain, I could easily push wibble a bit more on my site or in Gamer, but the problem is if I get too many listeners then my free hosting vanishes and I'd be left with having to pay for the pleasure of doing it (that's the point it stops). Being too popular is a bad thing - although I'm only at about 1/2 capacity each month at the moment so there is space for a few more downloads.

I just checked: yup, that's my review :)
