Title: Selling a Commodore 1084S-D1 and Commodore 1080 monitor
Post by: Arkhan on March 01, 2011, 01:19:48 PM
I have both of these for sale. The picture quality is very nice on both.
THe 1084S-D1 is the one picture that has "C= sucks dick" written on it. This will be removed before you get your hands on it, so no worries!
I'm asking 75$ for the 1080 (Its the better of the two monitors as far as tube/picture quality), and 65$ for the 1084S-D1, or best offer!
I will sell both together for 125$
I will not ship overseas, not that you would want me to because it will cost you an idiotic amount to ship them.
I will ship to Canada/Mexico/anywhere else that counts as touching the US of A, just be warned, you may find yourself getting hit with a kind of high shipping bill!
Both monitors work perfect and the reason I am selling them is
1) The 1080s been sitting on a shelf since CCAG 2010 2) I got a neat RCA flat screen CRT thats slightly bigger screen wise, and takes up less space. I like it! 3) Having a 1084 and a 1080 on shelves = less space for D&D books, and I dont like it
I will include power cables.
Rejoice!
Now is the time to nab two happy RGB screens.

lol srsly?
when, so I can get the C= hate propaganda off the 1084.
I have no use for these bastards on my shelf and will probably end up locating more of them between now and 6 months. I always happen across 1084s. These are my like, 7th and 8th ones!
All but one have been sold to good homes. One just up and died mid Hydlide 2 one day. That sucked.

Arkhan, I hope you weren't offended by the retouched photo I posted on the other thread. I was just trying to offer an antidote for the C64H8.
:)

Yeah but what would you rather have for games, a PCE + SCD, or an Amiga?

Oh, a Duo for sure. No contest.
The Amiga was a great computer that was ahead of it's time, however, just like the Apple IIGS. The big problem with the IIGS was the slow CPU, but this was quickly remedied when CPU replacements like the TransWarpGS and ZipGS came out.

The Amiga could output great stuff if in the right hands. Unfortunately it wasn't in the right hands for most of the time.
