Title: PC Engine Controllers - No Core Grafx pad?
Post by: soop on March 15, 2011, 10:34:27 PM
Hellooo!!!!!  This is my first post, but I've been trying to join here for a while now :D

I was looking at my Supergrafx and my Core Grafx, and the Core Grafx seems to have the pad for the super Grafx.  Every other Hu Card unit I own has a pad that correlates with the consoles model number.  But the core Grafx, instead of having pl-pd3, has pl-pd6.  As does the Super Grafx.

Any idea why?

Thanks Esteban!  I've been chomping at the bit waiting to discuss PCE stuff, but unfortunately the TG-16 board on gamefaqs isn't nearly as busy as here!

As far as I can tell the Core Grafx 1 and Supergrafx share the same controller.  :)

yup.  Actually, mine have a small difference - the font for run and select.  But what's bizarre is that the Core Grafx was released before the Super Grafx, and yet seems to have its pad.
Actually, I've just checked, and the Core Grafx II completely skews my theory.

I's assumed that because the Super was PL-TG6 and comes with a PL-PD6 pad, the shuttle is PL-TG5 and comes with a PL-PD5, that the two numbers were linked.
But the Core Grafx II is PL-TG7 with PL-PD8 and the Core Grafx is PL-TG3 with PL-PD6
