The board in my controller has gone haywire. My D-pad has decided to stop working. Opened it up and poked at the cable with a multimeter and all connections are good. Hooked it up to a different system and still had the same problem so I can only assume it has to be the board. If anyone has an extra they don't mind tossing my way that would be great. PWD-624 is written on it which I would assume is the model number for the board. Since there seems to be several different types of boards floating around I figured that mind come in handy for finding a match.

check resistor r709 should be 48k if good replace IC701

sorry i hadnt saved my notes yet

@thesteve
Make it a repair guide maybe? lol
-
id like to know what failed first.
confirmed at least, considering I have never had one fail.
when i get a chance i will draw the whole schematic and make a basic trouble shooting guide.

I have a controller with the same issue thesteve. When I measure the resistance of r709 I'm getting 47.8k.

your resistance reading is good.
check each pin on the cable, if good it appears a failed ic is to blame.
i need to draw up the schematic with pin numbers, however i did a partial attached to my second post

all wires test out fine

pins 1 and 15 on ic701 should be pulsed (look at the attached text file)
you most likely need a new ic701 (its available everywhere)
