Title: CD IFUs: How and Pics?
Post by: Splurge on May 03, 2011, 08:24:42 AM
I'm curious as to whats inside the CD interface units.  I am wanting to mod my Sharp X1-Twin with a CD drive.  Nothing will be harmed in this mod and will be completely removable.  I can trace all the internal connections on the PCE interface on the SharpX1 and compare those to a traditional PCE.  What I'm not familiar with is the IFUs.  I have only ever had a Duo and a standalone TG-16, but never messed with the CD addons before.

Ideas?

Memory, save space, not much else, but it's done in a late 80s sort of way so there are a lot more components than what would be needed nowadays.
