Title: does the cd dock have an internal battery?
Post by: GameFreak on May 04, 2011, 08:29:49 AM
I'm just wondering if the tg16 CD dock OR the pc-engine briefcase attachment unit use an internal battery? How is the memory stored? If the dock is not able to save anything (broken, error) in the game memory, what would the fix solution be? Also I'm curious about the Turbo Booster Plus which has a save game feature as well. Thanx :-k

Memory is stored on a capacitor.

Memory is stored on a capacitor.

There are memory chips that are backed up by a super capacitor.  The capacitor is replaceable, but not without a soldering iron and some careful hands.
