Title: Good gaming internet radio stations
Post by: roflmao on May 26, 2011, 03:55:31 AM
I really like listening to old videogame music, particularly the TG16/PCE stuff.  Do you guys know of any internet radio stations that cater to that demographic?  I've found a few other chiptunes and classic gaming stations, but they either play from such a wide array of systems (including old computers) that the TG16 stuff rarely gets played or they play a lot of remixes and I'd rather hear the real thing over an orchestrated version.

http://www.kohina.com/

 http://ocremix.org/

The two that I listened to in the past. DI.fm has a chiptune station, but more gb and 8 bit.

I saw that too, but it seems as if the station is down. :(  Thanks for the other recommendations. I've listened to Kohina before, and it's not bad, and I don't think ocremix has a radio station, but I'll check again.  I like ocremix, but find I spend way too much time browsing and downloading and setting up playlists when I just want to listen to some good chiptunes. :)

Thanks, that ought to keep me busy for a while!  The PC Engine City downloads seem to be gone, though. :(

Totally amazing music player!!  BUT STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM THE FORUMS!!  They are so spammed up right now, its impossible to swim through the crap to get to any real turbob conversation.  I don't know whats up with the site!  I've sent PM's to Odanodon to help clean it up, but haven't gotten any response....

Its a pisser, cause the site rules!

Could also link right to the player - http://turbo2k.net/MusicPlayer.html

Thanks for the links Paul!  Downloading them now.  And for the Turbocast!  This is precisely what I was looking for.

Awesome.
