I'm so stupid >___< I ordered 5 mini 8-pin DIN to scart cables. Then I left feedback. Then I waited more than 7 dyas. Then I actually bothered to look at them. They're like nothing I've ever seen, it's 8 pins evenly spaced in a circle.
I've never seen a DIN socket like this. Even were I to ditch the sockets I have (for RGB mods) I can't find any to match these cables. That's £10 down the drain unless I can think of something to do with them. Any ideas? Apart from me being less clicky.
Wait, I had an idea. I couldn't find any cables that worked right, but then I realised I was seeing a lot of these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/New-Male-8-pin-Mini-DIN-Mini-DIN-Connector-Adapter-/220792460143?pt=UK_Computing_CablesConnectors_RL&hash=item336841936f
so if I can re-wire the cables I should be alright. And also, I'll know that the wires are going to the right place.

Remember, there are U-shape (MegaDrive) and C-shape (NeoGeo) 8-pin dins.

My ones are http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140431326834&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT which I suppose is a C shape.

Oh you mean mini-din. Thought you meant normal 8pin dins.

Did you mean to get the larger din?

Nah, mini din. At the moment things are kind of looking up again.

The DIN standard comprises many many different sockets.
