so i have told a couple buddies about this cool site. but i got to thinking about another site where there are now so many people the cost of everything is going up at a very accelerated rate. do you think that can happen here? i have talked to some people who tell me they are looking for tg16 games and they are getting harder to find. i personally will limit the number i tell so this shit does not get outta control! what do you think do you tell or keep it for yourself?

My 2 friends that like PCE and TG16 just borrow my games. That's how I saw SUCK IT to ebay seller douchebags

I don't now anybody who is into TG16/PCE, or even classic gaming in general. So I have no one to tell.

Retro collecting is already out of control, prices are becoming more and more ridiculous with the number of collectors and resellers growing.
I'm seeing a lot of young people getting into the hobby, and I've noticed a trend where new collectors are willing to pay much higher prices and they seem to want to amass instant collections, buying items in bulk.
We have a franchise of game stores here named Gametraders, they predominantly sell new gear but also specialise in trading and selling of used gear, including retro items. A few years ago, before retro collecting became cool, they were selling boxed consoles (things like Mega Drive's and SNES) for $30, and games for $5. Nowadays the same consoles sell for $200 and any loose cart with Mario or Zelda on it sells for $50+. I think these prices are crazy but the stuff still sells.
I'm hoping that there will be a turnaround and prices will return to a more respectable level, but we're a long way from that happening. Kind of like how baseball cards, which at their peak some of which were worth thousands but are now more or less worthless due to a complete lack of demand.

I would tell, if only my friends were interested :p

The only one I talk to about this is my brother and brother-in-law. My bro in law is into retro gaming, but when we talk about Turbografx, he jokes saying that me, that guy in the videos (Chris Bucci) and maybe one other guy in America bought this console. =) I keep trying to convince him it is worth checking out. I am thinking of getting him a Turbografx Console at some point so he can try it out.

I've no one to share PCEFX with - nobody that'd be interested anyhow. I wouldn't hesitate to share if I did, though, as hopefully we could educate them on the proper way to OBEY.

Same here.

Turbografx gamers generally already know about this forum. "Classic gamers" are a different breed and make me uneasy. Even so, I mention the forums to just about everyone I have a related conversion with because I'm a chump.

Same :( I mean I have friends who are into video games, and one friend who is really into the same era, and happily played through Daimakaimura on my Supergrafx, and who's borrowed my GT before, but I offered him a PC Engine to borrow and he just wasn't interested O___O
