Title: WTB Hori Fighting Commander PC/Avenue Pad 6
Post by: KnightWarrior on July 26, 2012, 06:19:44 PM
Hori Fighting Commander PC or a Avenue Pad 6

I don't actually like the Ave pad 6 for SF, I prefer the Hori 6 button pad but they cost about as much as a console will.

For some reason the Ave 6 sells for way more than it should too, probably around $20 for a loose one if you're lucky.

You can buy it at yahoo japan at 500 yens
http://page10.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/m103141049
The seller sends overseas.
I don´t know about condition. He tell he has two pads or three, don´t understand very good.

Via a proxy service, who bid on your behalf and charge lots of fees.

Hello there.
First. The seller can ship overseas and allow you to pay with paypal.
Second. It´s the cheapest price i´ve seen for the 6 button ave pad.
Third. Bidding it´s at 300 yen. Buy it now it´s at 500 yen. Noone can bid more than that.

Well, after that i ask you apologies cause the pad you ask wad the 3 button and not the 6 button.
Sorry. It doesn´t happen again.

Ave6 is $20-30 on eBay often. Less if you use Japanese online shops or Japanese auctions, as you have already been told.
Similar price for an Ave3.

Did that answer your question?

There's one on ebay with a bin of about $30. Looks like he may even take a lower offer, though that's about what I paid a few months ago for one, so I think it's reasonable.

Post by: Frank_fjs on August 15, 2012, 05:29:48 PM
I know they're more expensive than they should be, I mean it is just a controller, but $30 odd is not a lot of money to squander so you may as well just suck it up and get it over with. Even if you buy a cheap $5 one from Japan via a proxy service, by the time you include all the fees and charges involved it's going to pad out to $20-$30 anyhow.

Avenue pad 6 for $9.40 on Rakuten.  Shipping from Japan is really expensive (rakuten doesn't do the cheap forms of shipping) but it's probably still under $20 total.

It's probably the best into-the-screen driving game on the PCE IMO, but the sprite flicker and the framerate do kind of suck.

What's your budget anyway? Not that I'd sell mine in thousand years, but it seems there are so many people making you offers and all get declined, I think you should give them a better idea on what you're willing to spend and what items you offer to trade.

This would save you from offers you're not willing to accept, and thus would also eliminate the need for thread bumps.

Otherwise, just put a few dollars every month into the savings box for your Hori controller fund.
