I thought it would be interesting to have alist on games, that have both language versions on one Disc/HuCard.
In another thread someone pointed out that "J B Harold Murder Club" is switchable between the two languages.
so I am looking for other releases, that would offer both - Jap imports are usually cheaper to obtain.

The term "Jap" is against forum rules and offensive to many people, hense the emphasis on "JP" in the other thread.
This should be informative:

That other thread is just a tad bit different. It lets you know what JP games are still playable not knowing Japanese. This one requested which games specifically have an option in-game that switches the game to English. Related yes but not exactly the same.

And it lists five games that offer English as an option, which is exactly what is being asked for. Thanks for paying attention.

Thanks, that helps me. Although I am still interested in which other games are totally switchable - or are there only those few?

That's why I didn't simply say "this thread has been done". But just because a game technically has an "English" mode, it doesn't mean it's fully localized or translated very well. Most will only be playable to a certain extent and there may be games that are 100% in English or use symbols for everything, but don't have a Japanese version to switch to. So it's neat to compile a list of games which literally have a language toggle option, but it is just as interesting if people could decribe in detail what effect it actually has on the content.
Separate from that, most people interested in Japanese games with an English mode are more interested in finding Japanese games they can understand well enough. So now the other thread can compliment this one. :)
-
So - what other games are out there that can be switched? What button combinations are the most probable ones?
-
PCE "Break In", a pool game is in English. Not sure if you can switch to Japanese language however.
-
Populous is in English.
-
Any other games out there?

Any other games out there?
If you're looking for games that are mostly or completely in English, or are games which can be played as easily as though they were 100% English, then yes, there are dozens of them.
If you're only interested in putting together a list of games that have an option to switch between English and Japanese, I'm sure there are more, but not many will fit that criteria.

In this current thread I am only concerned about switchable between Japanese and English. I think there would be more people out there interested in this, as we in Europe traditionally had more with Japanese games to do afaik. At least they are easier to obtain here than the US versions...
At least in this regard I am interested. And seriously I consider learning japanese (which might profit from an english<->japanese option)...
-
The Manhole has an option to switch Japanese/English voices. It's basically a kids game, so probably not many would be interested in playing it.
-
I could give a shit if it has an option to play in English, is in English only, or is in Japanese but easy to play anyway. Either a game is playable without Japanese language skills or it isn't; segregating games that force you to select a language is just silly.
But don't let that stop you from asking "any more" again in a couple days. It's totally helpful.
