I will get in on this tomorrow. Would it be ok to play this in an emulator? I don't have an everdrive yet for my Duo, but would like to get in on something here. I just don't want to submit a score if emulators are frowned on.

Ok cool. If need be I could always fraps or record the game play to help prove legit scores. But, yes I will not use the emulator in a way to give myself an advantage.

Ok, wow... I was not expecting that. it has been some time since I have done a shooter like this but I thought I would fare better overall.
Top score after 6 games played 31k and some change. Are there levels? Cause I havn't even made it to the second one.
I have no idea why I just gravitate right into enemy fire. Must be the slow retarded drooling side of me.

After all that talk about Tatsujin at MGC, I gave the game a shot. After at least a dozen attempts, here's my best score: 187,690.

Ok, I played from 8am to 11:45am this morning and made it to this tank like thing. Have not got past it yet. Oh, I can get to it without dying now.... Damn road blocks....

Finally broke into 200k! Woo! Just barely though. I was doing pretty well with the exploding light bulbs. I tried something different and used my new Hori 6 button pad, can't tell what i like better yet for Tatsujin/other shooters.

I had been playing lots of the Genesis version and I got over 500k on that one in about 2 tries. Then I come back to the good ole PCE and I have such a good run. I had 300k all on my first life before I started losing a bit of momentum. The first two bosses are actually easy if you know what to do. (destroy all the boss's shooters it has on it and then all it has is one easy spread you can dodge for days). There's a f*cking bullshit respawn thing after the 2nd boss where if you die shortly after beating that boss, you have to rebeat it all over again.
My trouble now is figuring out that 3rd crab boss, f*ck is it hard and fast. I may need to switch to the blue weapon on that one. Some day I'll beat this game, some day

I used to be pretty good at this on pc-e. Never did a high score run though. I do fairly well with the pcb though. I'll have to try it tonight for this friday.

1CC on Easy mode, with 1226090. I kept playing but didn't bother. I don't have a score yet for Normal but I've made it to stage 4 on 1 credit, smashing whatever was on the leaderboard. I'll keep ya posted.
Here's a couple tips to make life easier
1. Practice in easy mode. It's identical to normal but the bullets are slightly slower. Same amount of enemies 2. Position your ship in the middle of the screen. After stage 1, enemies will start coming out of the rear. 3. Green laser is the best weapon, it decimates mini-bosses and bosses. Forget about the lightning because it's hard to see bullets 4. The two green "elephant" minibosses on the first level, stick to the top left corner. They can't hurt you! 5. Levels 1, 2, and 5 have a secret 1up (or 2up) if you shoot a thing in the screen. It's color corresponds with the weapon necessary to open it. 6. The level 4 boss is probably one of the easiest. Stick to the very bottom of the screen and move with it parallel
