I went and found OpenEMU just to run this game. (My flash card died). I’m using a Saturn USB pad sitting 14” from my 4K iMac, it’s very pretty. Will update with scores soon.

Each PCE pixel is HUNDREDS of pixels on the display. I’ll see if I can get a good picture of it.

That may be YouTube speak. Each increase of video resolution usually comes with better audio.
Or Blu-ray speak, the lossess DTS they are using now is pretty much perfect.

Yeah, it's just really funny to watch people on youtube gripe about audiophiley bullshit.

Probably on their phone or a shitty laptop.

My current high score is 20,120 However postimg.org is not letting me upload the pictures for some reason. Maybe time to change pic hosts or make my own again.
This was my very first try at the game so I know I can get it higher but I thought it was a good first try.

Yeah, sorry, I tried and failed massively to beat my score the other day. The lack of rapid fire is pretty f*cking problematic for me. No clue why this emulator doesn’t accommodate.
I run out of guys as soon as the VBs start showing up.

Sell me a real copy of your game so I can use it on my real machines with rapid fire and get better scores.

I think that would get more people playing the game.
OK, It would get at least one more person playing the game.
Add +1 person playing the game (and wanting to buy a turbo everdrive)

lol is everyone too good for emulators
(except Zeta who is shafted with a Turboless emulator)
Whoever wrote an emulator that doesn't support autofire needs to get punched in the nads, anyway

I don’t think it’s the emulator as much as the front end, OpenEmu. It’s a known complaint for years but aparently they don’t consider it an “issue” despite many Turbo games being unplayable or not as fun without Turbo since they were designed for the rapid pad everyone had. Not big Turbo fans whoever they are.

Maybe this will help.
The highest I got in testing was around 650k lol
and you gotta know when to hold em, and know when to fold emmmm
sometimes it's better to just hide in the corner and shoot stuff til it looks clear. Stay in the middle sometimes only f*cks you up

Well, I suck at 26,680, but I did shoot a Virtual Boy. Anyway, thanks for making this game! The music is awesome, too. Is there a list of enemies in the game?

Nah, no list.
You can grab the tune itself from Aetherbyte's bandcamp thing I made.
There's a link in the OP.
The enemies are:
Megadrive/SMS SNES/Famicom Game and Watch Amiga Ball Virtual Boy
That's all, plus your PCE ShuttleSHIPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP

J/K! I posted that to how how easy it would be to Photoshop when Medina posted his 1million+ score. He said he'd post a video after the contest was over showing how it's done, but he never did.

As my first pic showed, it can be done without photoshop. That's real hardware and well over double his score.
If I wanted to put more time into it, I presume it's possible to max out the score. I didn't run out of lives (that's actually 201 remaining but it doesn't display correctly above 199), I ran out of will to keep going for an even higher cheat score.

Oh, man. I missed that pic. Ha! I bet that's what he did to score so high. We'll probably never know, though. ;)
