Both Spriggans is nice to see, wish the translations were in for Snatcher and the like, but that's a big ask. Hopefully these end up being hackable and we can plop the whole library on. No Devil's Crush makes me a sad panda.

I know bithead explained this, but were they planing on releasing Snatcher on the US mini without a translation? I forgets

Yes. It's Japanese only. I have no need for this but I want it. I might get the pce mini though since it's even smaller. Waiting for price drop though. Not spending $100. Very good selection of games though. Almost every mini after nintendo's (except playstation mini) has been released with 2x the games. I really dig the interface for the games as well.

It's really looking good. I'll get at least one version (turbob) for the upscaling and use on a modern TV, but I hope they come out with some modern wireless pads to go with it.

3 decades later and North America gets a couple of SuperGrafx games.... thanks to Konami, is this an alternative universe?
-
I will be getting this. Looks like the TurboPads are USB only, which kinda sux. And how is Konami marketing this for the U.S. market with no Jap translation? That pretty much renders those certain games useless. Regardless, there are some sweet titles here that I'm dying to try.

I forgot about the SuperGrafx Games being on it. They are doing a solid lineup of games indeed. No SuperGrafx Strider though. Shame.

An absolute travesty. The least they could do is throw us the SuperGrafx Strider alpha

it’s a shame they missed an opportunity for TV Sports Baseball too
-
I don't think that Strider for SuperGrafx ever reached the point in development that it was running at all, let alone playable.

it’s a shame they missed an opportunity for TV Sports hockey too
fixed.
and less of a missed opportunity and more of a war crime

I remember the screenshots back in the day of Strider on SuperGrafx. I was always fascinated by the quantum leap over the competition at the time. I never did own a SuperGrafx, but had it survived longer than it did, there's no question that I'd have one right now.

One of those magazines recently posted by parallaxultra had the author claiming to have played it, though he wouldn't have been the first game writer to be full of shit

I remember looking at Strider ACD and finding remnants of some 1991 game in the data track. It's not uncommon to have other games of the teams or company is working on at the time, to found in between sectors in the data tracks. Unclear if it was related to the SGX original work, but the ACD game started in development as a CD or SCD game.
-
I think that it was Chris Covell who debunked the old magazine screenshot that was supposed to be Strider for SuperGrafx.
I don't doubt that it might have been worked on, but it would be very unique by unreleased PC Engine game history to be one of the only ones to have never been shown in any form.
Even games that were never up and running, like RPG Genjin, had multiple screenshots making the rounds.

As my memory serves, when I was doin my Zine and talking to the fine folks over at T.T.I. it's was said that there were 4 protos that existed at the time. Maybe someone can hunt down Terry Tang and ask...
It's a shame what the ACD version became, because it's pretty not great.

This site has what seems to be a comprehensive list of references about SuperGrafx Strider

Probably need archive.org / waybackmachine to pull some of these up since many of the links are dead.
