Title: Turbo Grafix 16 powers on but black screen no sound

I have original TG16 it was my  cousins and everything he owned was kept like new, even now after all these years. So I connect it using the original cable and I also have and tried HDMI converter, I ain't got it all hooked up turns on but the screen is black and is no sound.
