Hi all.
I've done a few mods using the parts from Console 5... but they have been out of the video driver board for a year now.
https://console5.com/store/turbo-express-pc-engine-gt-composite-video-mod-board-pcb-diy-kit.html
I have a few people asking me to mod their system... and I want a new screen in my own. So... anyone know where I can get that board? (Or something that does it's job)
Thanks

Thanks for sharing that link, any idea where to find a component list for the board?
-
FYI, they just came into stock at console5, but they only have like 10 left. I wouldn't mind finding the components list anyway, as I already placed an order for a batch of three of those boards :-)

Components are given on the soldermask. You need resistors: 27k, 8.2k, 6.3k, 4.7k and 75ohm all 0805 size and an MMBT3904 transistor.

Thank you, I had noticed that later in the evening, but still was a little baffled by the notation, so thanks again!

Hello again, I'm finally getting around to ordering these components, and just was hoping some amazing person around here could confirm my parts list and answer a couple of questions? I only started modding this year and much of this is still over my head. ANYWAY, this is the board I ordered: https://oshpark.com/shared_projects/SAfzq1dI/ (https://oshpark.com/shared_projects/SAfzq1dI/)
Parts List
Resistors
Transistors
I've got the resistors covered, with one question. Will a 6.2K work in place of a 6.3K? I have one of those Resistor Bibles, and it has all the values except the 6.3K.
When it comes to the transistors, I know absolutely nothing about them. I searched MMBT3904 at DigiKey and found these: https://www.digikey.com/en/products/result?s=N4IgTCBcDaILJwEIBUDMBOADAFhAXQF8g (https://www.digikey.com/en/products/result?s=N4IgTCBcDaILJwEIBUDMBOADAFhAXQF8g)
Will any of those work? How do I know if their the right package size? I don't see 0805 anywhere....
Your help is much appreciated!
P.S. My new soldering iron is supposed to have arrived yesterday, but didn't. I'm hoping to get that soon and finally try the new screen mod on the PC Engine GT. I have already built Console5's version of this board for that, but I have 3 of these boards and wanted to finish them up for future use. :-)

yes, 6.2k will work just fine. I've done the same. https://www.taydaelectronics.com/50-x-smd-chip-resistors-6-2k-ohm-1-8w-1-0805.html

Thanks! Any thoughts on getting the right transistors?

I use 8050 Transistors. https://www.taydaelectronics.com/8050sl-transistor-npn-20v-0-7a-sot-23-3-8050sl.html

Also, if you don't want to buy the PCB, here is how you can make it yourself on breadboard.

Ground points are connected under the sticky tape using a capacitor lead.

I had noticed that on another thread. Pretty neat! Thanks for the heads up. I'm gearing up to do the screen mod this morning. Wish me luck! :-)
