Title: How long does memory formatting last?
Post by: DragonmasterDan on July 31, 2022, 08:02:39 PM
I just powered up my PC-FX for the first time in a few years and had to reformat the internal memory. How long does that last, I'm guessing there's a supercap on the board ala a Duo that holds your saves. Does anyone know if the external memory packs have an internal battery?

I don't know about the first question, but I know the BMPs take a pair of AAAs and presumably have a cap to hold them over for a few minutes while you change batteries.

Thanks, it was kind of a bummer to lose what save data I had, I may just see about picking one up.
