Title: What is considered the absolute hardest PC-Engine game?

Apparently Alien Crush requires you to score 1 billion points in order to beat it, and I heard that it could take like 40 hours which is insane. Is there a harder game on the system than that one?  :adol:

Unless I'm missing something, King of Casino seems impossible to win without an extreme lucky streak.  You are limited to only 10 saves and bets are limited to small amounts relative to hunting millions in winnings.

Or maybe Ballistix?  Perhaps it's not that difficult to win, but who's gonna sit through 100 stages of that ?

Are we confusing hard with tedious? I'm sure there are a few games that the hardest challenge is fighting the controls (Darkwing, Ghost Manor, etc). Then there is stuff like J.B. Harold where it seems random on how you question suspects, especially at the end interrogation section.

Recently I've been playing the Valis games, and I gave up on 3 and 4 because of "those" stages...if you play, you know the ones I'm talking about. I'm sure someone can breeze through them but no I :(

Isn't Image Fight II regarded as one of the most challenging games on PCE?  I am dreadful at it, but I did witness a friend play through it over just a weekend, so maybe it's just me?

I think these games could be in for consideration since they're relatively broken.  Add in Impossimole to this. I wanted to enjoy it, because the soundtrack is good, but it's so insanely frustrating.....

But it did take ALL weekend...If no unlimited continues, I doubt we would have seen a clear. Check point shooters have their own extra challenge!

I'd go with Legion or Fighting Run for hardest PCE game.
