Good stuff.

Are the HuCard sounds from emulators or the real system?
-
Some from emu's, some from the real thing. But I think most are from emu's IIRC, unfortunatly. Even though I own all the games, they don't all have sound tests, & it's alot quicker for me to do them in emu's. But I always listen thru them, & try to get the most accurate sound possible, so I don't always use the same emu for each one.

Hey, how did you get stuff from 3DO's Out of the World? I have that game, but I don't recall a sound test. Is there a special code or something?
I'm looking forward to the future items you'll be posting as well :).
-
How did I get the music you ask? Time, & patience. A couple years ago, I went thru the game, & recorded the music as carefully as possible. There is an ever so slight buzz that you can hear waaaaaaaay in the background. But it still sounds great! I'd like someone to post the music for Lucienne's Quest! I used to have a save file, so I could've warped around the different worlds, & recorded the music, but, my file got erased, & I haven't felt like beating it again. Another game I'd like the music to, is Guardian War. That one will be easier to do, since there's a code to be invincible & stuff. Infact, there might even be a sound test, now that I think about it. Anyways, I think Ninja Gaiden(Turbo version) will be the next one I put up. But I got a guy waiting for both Valis 4 & Jackie Chan, so I wanna get those ready soon.
-
I recorded the music from Guardian War back when I had a 3DO (which makes the PS3 seem cheap). Great music, but it sure does sound muffled. But then again so did a lot of 3DO games. Anyway I still have the GW music on fantastic MiniDisc!
-
do the links not work anymore? always get linked back to the page > http://www.megaupload.com/toolbar/de/? :-k

ooo more source material for my podcast :)

You rock, PD :) , that's how I recorded chip tunes from most games (since most games lacked sound tests) back in the day. I recorded music onto chrome / metal cassettes or high-quality video tapes (SP). Then I'd dub an abridged copy. I still have many of the tapes, but the hiss and noise is still there.
Now, the .rar I downloaded last night is giving me problems (doesn't unzip properly), so I'll have to DL the file again :(. I'm also on a mac (not sure if that would be an issue).

OOoooh!!! Is there anyway you could host them? Yeah, the music is muffled, but still really cool. Not sure what bit rate the songs are at.
And the links work fine for me, I just tested them all, though, they now go to the German version, which is wierd, but they work.
Also, I added Ninja Gaiden in the first post!
And Steve, what file is giving you problems? LMK & I'll check them on my comp, & see if they all open up ok.
-
Fantastic - I'll definitely check these out. Thx a bunch, ParanoiaDragon.

so do i first have to install de DL-toolbar :?: :-k
as i wrote before, by clincking the links above always get linked to http://www.megaupload.com/toolbar/de/? directly :-s

That's wierd. I don't remember ever downloading a toolbar. Maybe you just have to be a member to download these. Or you can try downloading the toolbar I guess.
What about everybody else here? Did anyone here "have" to register, before they could download???
-
Updated the first post with Bonk's Adventure :D

I would advise folks NOT to download any toolbar / program (spyware!). Just wait 45 seconds (Tatsujin, there is a countdown clock in text... then, when timer hits "00" you'll see "Click here to download").
Anyway, I suspect that my problem unzipping the file has something to do with the mac I'm using. Joe Redifer, don't you use a mac? Have you been able to open the .rar file with StuffIt?
-
Yeah, I've been looking around, & I didn't download that toolbar, so, yeah, don't download it!
-
found the prob. it says, for my country all channels are closed due to busy, try later. if i download the toolbar i can get access immediatelly.

Yes indeed! And on that note, I added Bonk's Adventure ost's for Gameboy, NES, & PS2/GC! =P~
-
Uploaded R-Type Complete to the first post :D
-
I wanted to thank you personally. 15 years ago, a friend owned a Turbo-16. I have fond memories of the games and the music. I thought I'd never hear the music again, not after pulling my hair out searching all over.
Well.. thanks to you, I can hear Valis 2 again and some of the other games I recall. I don't know how to express how much that means to me.
Thank you!
-
You're welcome! Ofcoarse, I'm doing this music for myself, but, ofcoarse hosting them is to benefit everybody :D
-
Yes of course. I'm happy you're sharing them though! I'm also trying to rebuild my old VGM collection so this helps incredibly. Like another poster in this thread, I use to make cassettes of VGM. I had around 20 or 30, most were played until they either broke or were chewed up. Trying to find those tracks as mp3's is a daunting task.. I hope you'll continue to post OSTs. You're also giving me the chance to hear new VGM!
-
Yeah, I used to have tapes of VGM, don't have any tapes now, but, I have access to all the music, so, just gradually getting what I can & hosting them, & I will continue. Don't expect 30 ost's a day, but, I will continue. :D

-
Just added Bloody Wolf & Keith Courage to the first post
-
Finally added both the cart & cd versions of Bonk 3, as well as Aoi Blink, to the first post.
-
Added Cosmic Fantasy 2(including the jp. versions of the opening & closing songs) & Final Zone 2, which, I didn't have time to try to remember where every song goes. Hey Paranoia... did any 3DO games have redbook audio? It's been awhile since I've owned the unit, but I seem to remember most if not all games just had one big track o' data with streaming audio.
-
Yeah, every 3DO game I've ever tried, was just 1 data track, no audio. It's a bummer, since there's alot of music I'd love to have from 3DO games, but, would need to go thru all of them, & record them 1 by 1 to have them! I could've done it with Lucienne's Quest before I lost my data ](*,)
-
Updated the first post with Lord Monarch for SNES, Shubibinman 0 for SNES, Ranger-X for Genesis, & Target Earth for Genesis aka Assault Suit Leynos. :-({|=

Great, really, really great listings/postings.
Quik Question: Are you able to get the tracks' for Shapeshifter (Tried to rip, doesn't come out, used realplayer(don't know any other way) and didn't work) Feel like a spastic, but I have an old 'puter with not that much memory left to download some other program to do that (Magic Engine for HES won't work for me as well)
Also tried to rip Godzilla, SplashLake and Dungeon Explorer 2, but it doesn't show any music tracks.
Thankz for the assist.
-
(Magic Engine for HES won't work for me as well)
Did you rename the extension from .hes to .pce?
-

Yeah, I'll deffinitly be doing Shapeshifter, as well as Godzilla, Splash Lake, & Dungeon Explorer 2.
-
Added to the first post, the PS2 version of Ys 1 & 2 Eternal
-
Great, appreciate that..
--Keranu
(Yes, even when I changed the extens to pce, I need more power!!!!!
I hope to upgrade my puter.)
-
Keep in mind, that DE 2 will require more work, since I will try to have every song in the upload, numbered in order, so I might have to play thru the game again, since it's been a long time.
-
That's alright. Just work on the easier ones first. Are the HuCard games easier to do?
-
Updated the first post with Ys 3 for Turbo CD including all the PSG tracks, & Ys 3 for PS2 =P~
I am finding YsIII PS2 version most agreeable :)
-
You like it? I think it's ok, better then the Genesis & SNES versions. I'll probably upload the new PC version of Ys 3(Oath in Felghana), which, I'm still debating on if it's better then the Turbo version, that's how good it is!
As for Hucard's, I'd say it's easier to rip the music from the cd's, since, alot of the time, the music track names are found online in the databases, though, not all of them are. Plus, trying to make sure the Hucard's sound as close as possible to the origial software, can be annoying at times, so, cd's are generally easier. With the exception of when there are PSG tracks included, like with DE 2, then, that makes it a little more difficult, since it's chip music, & I want it to sound right.
-
Added the PS2 version of Ys 4 to the first post
-
Ugg exile file not there.
-
Hmm, I just tried the links for both Exile's, & they both come up, not sure what to tell you, unless maybe there was a temporary problem with the site?
-
Updated the first post with Shapeshifter, Splash Lake & Godzilla coming soon! :-"
-
Added Godzilla, Splash Lake, & Dungeon Explorer/Crystal Beans(for SNES) to the first post =P~
-
Thanks, I appreciate the time & effort for getting them together.
-
No problem :D
-
Added the 58 song ost for Beyond the Beyond(not the 5 song remix cd) to the first post! =P~
-
Added Sapphire to the first post :-({|=
-
Added Legendary Axe's 1 & 2, Tiger Road, & Twin Cobra/Tiger Heli 2 to the first post O:)
-
Added Forgotten Worlds to the first post :-k
-
Added New Adventure Island, Dungeon Explorer, Kid Niki(NES), & Legend of Xanadu 2 to the first post. On Legend of Xanadu 2, I ripped the music from both cd's. For some reason, Falcom made the first cd, all the PSG tracks, & the second cd, all the redbook along with arranged tracks. I took the liberty of putting all the tracks in order as you would hear them in the game & put them in the first part, with the arranged songs in the second part

Question to Joe and other mac users: Have you been able to open any of these files? I get an error message when stuffit (or whatever it is called) tries to decompress the files. I've been missing out on all of this music!

You're not able to use winrar on a Mac?

What version of Stuffit? I'm using StuffIt Expander 11 or something under OS 10.2.8 with no problems. I've downloaded a few and didn't have any trouble.
-
I haven't had any problems decompressing, either. RAR is pretty standard. Go to www.versiontracker.com (http://www.versiontracker.com/) (I assume you're using some incarnation of OSX) and search for RAR and download one of the freeware expanders. Also Stuffit Expander is free. It only costs if you want to use it to compress. So maybe try searching for that first instead.
-
Hope that works out for you Steve!
And I added Dungeon Explorer 2(including all PSG & cinemas) & Dungeon Explorer for Sega CD to the first post :-$

Hahaha. Well, I was actually on an OS 9 machine at the time I posted my question, but, regardless, I don't know what is causing the "Format Error #17450" in Stuffit. I believe it refers to a corrupt file, but who knows. I've rarely had this problem unzipping files with Stuffit, but I know I've encountered it before. I've always laid blame on "corrupt files" ...
Stuffit used to be a great utility (for mac, anyway), but it's a big piece of crap now. I switched to Unarchiver today, Paranoia's files unzip without a problem. I am an idiot! :)

Added Blazing Lazers(includes remix track of the 9th stage), Soldier Blade(including remix track of the 1st stage), Super Star Soldier(including remix track of the 1st stage), & Final Soldier.

Since I'm lazy and I don't want to go search 6 pages of comments to find the answer, I will ask this question despite the fact it's probably been asked (and answered) at least once here before.
How are you ripping the PSG tracks? Do you use an emulator, some kind of HES extraction utility or are you playing them off the real hardware into a computer encoding MP3? If you are using a combination of these methods, it would be nice for you to make a note next to the download link telling which method was used for a particular game.
I ask because the few I've downloaded sound "off" from what I hear on my system. When it comes to audio, I'm all about 100% accuracy.
EDIT: OK, so I found the answer to my question. Apparently it was the first question asked in the thread. So..... My next question is, how would you feel if I said I'd be willing to re-"rip" some of those PSG tracks for you using the real hardware? Maybe I'd even go as far as to set up a small FTP server at home and mirror all the files so people don't have to deal with all that "MEGAUPLOAD" bullshit.
-
I know how I'd feel about you doing that... phuggin' great! Especially for Truxton (if possible).
EDIT: Wow the sound team truly failed on the PCE port of Wonder Boy in Monster Land. The SMS version has a much more pleasing sound (fewer ear bleeding/nails-on-the-chalkboard-sounding frequencies). I like the SMS composition better for most of the tunes that have changed as well.

The FM music is also nice, but I can't get it to play without some static and noise.

From what I recall, it sounds pretty close to the arcade version, though, I'd have to boot up the game again to check.
Ok, just booted it up, the music is almost identical to the arcade version. Played just thru the 2nd level.
And, if you wanna rerip all that stuff from hardware, that's fine by me, I certainly don't have the time to do that, even though I'd love to. I have little time on my hands as it is, & I want all this music so I can play it in my truck, but, thought I'd share it with everbody. I know what you mean about accuracy. Also, some of those psg tracks were originally done years ago, so it's possible, that there's some I didn't check the quality of before posting. Which ones did you download? I peronally really like Megaupload, as I hate sendspace & all those others places. Megaupload is the easiest, & I've gotten so much stuff from there. Plus, I have 50 Gig's of space there, & I have plenty of games to rip.
-
One of the tunes in the PCE version of WBiML that really gets me is the SHOP tune, I think. Screeeech!
-
Yeah, I agree, at first, it starts out with the bassline, but, once that melody kicks in, YIKES!
Also, added Batman to the first post

Hey, no offense intended, your efforts are well-appreciated here! Just thought I'd offer to lend a hand. Maybe this weeknd I'll set things up to rip from the hardware.

-
Added Bonanza Bros. for both Turbo & Genesis, Decap Attack, Esquat, Kid Chameleon, & Toe Jam Earl 1 & 2 ](*,)
-
Toe Jam & Earl is THE SHIT!
-
Indeed. Also, I should mention, there is no game called Esquat, it's actually Eswat  Anyways, even though I don't have an Xbox, I decided to pick of Toe Jam & Earl 3. Some say it's terrible, some say it's incredible. I won't know until I someday either get a REALLY cheap Xbox(like say.......$30) or the 360 goes down low enough, for me to want it. The 360 actually has a few games I deffinitly want, like that new Naruto game, unless it ends up sucking. But, Shadowrun might be cool, mainly because I loved the SNES game. I'm not a big FPS person, but, it might be fun. And if Hudson brings over Far East of Eden Ziria, I'm all over that
-
I've been wanting to play Toe Jam & Earl for X-Box as well, I've heard it's really good from a fellow friend. The two for Genesis, man, those games just rule and have some of the best soundtracks.
By the way, will the 360 let you play Toe Jam & Earl 3 on it or is that one of those non-backwards compatable games for it?
-
I heard recently, that supposedly the 360's latest update, can play every Xbox game ever released. But, it's just hear-say.
-
That is false sir, it only added another 15 or so games. But most of them were really good games, like Panzer DRagoon Orta and Jet Set Radio Future.
-

I've been waiting for the 360 update to play Orta for the first time, since my Xbox is one of the models that Orta's progressive scan is incompatible with. :)
If Jet Set Future looks any better on 360(or at least not worse) I might give it a play through with the girlfriend again as well.
-
You haven't played it yet? Orta is awesome to the max. I still like Zwei better, but Orta is an amazing game, and has TONS of unlockable and hidden stuff. Plus it looks amazing on 360 with wide screen and progressive scan, although the CG cutscenes do stutter a little.
-
Where can I find a list of Xbox games that are currently working on the 360?

As soon as I got it I tried it and I couldn't handle the 480i, so I started hunting for an older Xbox until I gave up and forgot about it.
-
Hey Paranoia! I started downloading the soundtracks at work... holy cr*p, I hit the daily download quota pretty quickly. It's gonna take me a year to get everything.
Thanks for putting all this stuff up, because I am really stoked :). I'm up to the "C's" on the long list of games. Woo hoo!
-
No problem! I still have ALOT of games I want to rip the music from, but it takes alot of time!
-
No problem! I still have ALOT of games I want to rip the music from, but it takes alot of time!
I should have started downloading stuff sooner, but I had limited space on my harddrive.
Anyway, I love that you provided the tunes from other platforms (i.e. TG-16 Bonk, NES Bonk, GB Bonk). I love hearing the similarities / differences, and it is really nice to have them compiled here in one easy location.
I remember when you were talking about these (and other) soundtracks on the magicengine boards...
Now, if we could only convince Seldane (or someone else) to make MP3's of the Ys tunes we haven't heard (like the Korean Ys II, and the PC-98 / X68000 / etc. versions), I'd be in heaven :). The idea occurred to me after listening to the Ys MP3 he recently posted in another thread.
Thanks again, Paranoia!
-
There's still a couple of Bonk's that I need to provide sountracks for. The ones I can do, are Bonk's Revenge for GB, & the 3rd Bonk on GB called Viva la Chikkun. There's 2 other Bonk's, but I doubt I'll be able to get the songs from them decently. They are the Amiga Bonk, & the arcade Bonk.
-
Shadow of the Beast (Turbo Grafx CD)
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=2T57T7XU
damn..this soundtrack just kicks all asses between hell and heaven. it's in minimum 354x better than all other beast 1 ST I've ever heard (never heard the marty one).
especially "The Plains 1 & 2" and "Underwater" are top notch. tim wright, you're the man!
-
Added Dragon Ball Z. Sorry I haven't updated anything lately, I've just been out of the loop with all of this, plus got other work to start on for FU.
-
Updated the list with Nexzr & Cyber Core
-
These are all very much appreciated. Please keep it up.
-
Oh wow, I was wondering where this thread went. It became a sticky! I usually ignore those for some reason.
-
Me too. Probably because most of them are "ground rules" type threads and are all extremely old.
-
I had Keranu make it a sticky so it wouldn't disapear into obscurity :D
-
Updated with Chew Man Fu & the o.g. Bomberman!
-
Added Super Air Zonk!
-
Hey PD, can I request Star Parodia's soundtrack? O:) That is when you have the time of course :) .
-
I really want to do that one, but the thing is, I don't think there's any feasable way to get the PCM tracks(or is it just one track?) from the game. I can't think of any way to get it, without there being sound effects while I'm recording it. I don't recall, but, maybe when I pause the game, the music still plays?
-
Updated with Star Parodia/Fantasy Star Soldier, including the PCM tracks
-
RADICAL TO THA MAX! Thank you soo, soo much, PD! You're the best!
-
No prob Bob! 8)
-
Added Motoroader, Motoroader 2, & Motoroader MC :o
-
Added Benkei Gaiden, Galaga 90', Hana Taka Daka!, & Xevious :)
-
Did you actually play through Benkei Gaiden to get all the music?
-
Yup! No, I have the HES file, so I ripped the ost.
-
Ahh, was about to say that would be quite the feat just to rip a soundtrack.
-
Indeed it would be! And, while I'm at it, I uploaded the Thunder Blade, Space Harrier, Psycho Chaser, & the PCM version of Raiden. =P~
-
Added Super Bonk, & Super Bonk 2. I've had them uploaded for awhile, but for some reason, never put them in the list.
-
Looks like most of my uploads have been deleted, so, if anyone is looking for anything where the link doesn't work, let me know & I'll reupload it for you.
-
Can you hook up the the original Sylphia again?
-
Ok, I reuploaded it :)
-
Added Jimmu Denshou, Dragon Egg!, & Digital Champ 8)
-
Thanx man...you rock.

Well, I have all the Ys games made. And I have their soundtracks. The ones to particularly note, is the recent remake of Ys 3 for PC called Oath in Felghana, Ys 6's ost, & the most recent, the prequal to Ys 1 called Ys Origin.
-
Ok, Lords of Thunder, Gate of Thunder, Bomberman, Bomberman 93', Bomberman 94', & Beyond Shadowgate are all back up for now.
-
So when you say "You have" those games, is there a possibility you could upload those?
Just the real ones I'd like are the Ys games, Legend of Heroes, the space shooting side scrollers, and Cosmic Fantasy 2.
And how do you upload HuCards?
If you'd like to find more to look up, you could always check out my game list: here (http://www.gamespot.com/users/adolchristin/games).
Thas if you're ever bored. Lol.
-
I own pretty much ever Turbo game ever made, so, if I say I have it, then I can rip the soundtrack, there's just alot of games to rip, so it will take a lot of time to rip, organize, mp3, & upload. As for hucard, I just rip the music in winamp into a wav file, & mp3 it.
-
Right but how do you get the card's music onto a computer? There's no physical device that plugs into the computer...
-
I don't have any device to get the music onto the computer. I just download hes files & rip the music from there.
-
Dude you must have a way to like, zip up all the Ys files into one zip folder and upload them...I would SO download that. I have Ys Book I and II, Ys III (Turbografx-16 version)...I just need all the others, and they're all broken.
But yeah, that'd be awesome...
-
Added Last Alert & Dynastic Hero. And updated the links for Bonks 1-3(including CD), Cosmic Fantasy 2, Dragon Slayer, Keith Courage, Millitary Madness, Valis 2, Valis 3, & Shubibinman/Shockman 0-3.

It's for the Ys Origin Super Arrange.
And, I'm starting to upload my music to File Factory, hopefully that site will be more reliable!

Yeah MegaUpload only lets you download one file at a time...wish I could upload all those Ys files all at once :(
But I have to download one a day...
-
ATTENTION PEOPLE! MEDIAFIRE.COM (http://www.mediafire.com/)IS THE ONLY GOOD FREE FILE STORAGE! THAT IS ALL!
Oh yeah, tell that to the files that I can't access anymore (the direct links still work, but they don't show up under my account).
-
Ok, gradually switching stuff over to File Factory. I have all the Shubibinman's, Gradius 1 & 2, Suikoden's 1, 3, & 5, both Suiko Gaiden's, Air Zonk, Super Air Zonk, Dungeon Explorers 1 & 2, & Dynastic Hero uploaded to File Factory, with loads more on the way.

Anything registered before you made your account will not show up. That's just common sense, and is a lot less server-taxing than a per-IP hosting solution. The only downside to the Mediafire service that I can see is that a lot of OSTs are going to have to be split.
-
Alrighty I think I'm in idiot mode at the moment (I've only been up for 15 minutes too...) but how do we access the files through file factory since there's no links?
-
When you click on the links I provided here, you scoll down, & there's a big green button that says Free Download, click that, then you'll see in the middle of the page, a place where you have to type in 4 letters, do that, & click the continue button.
-
I never knew there were so many versions of Ys...
So far I've got (from the downloads):
Ys Book I and II
Ys Book III: Wanderers From Ys (Turbografx)
Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim Disk 1
Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim Disk 2
And I'm currently downloading Ys IV: Mask of the Sun
-
Definitely get Ys 1&2 Eternal, it's my favorite arrange disc of all the Ys music, also sporting the best version of "To Make The End Of Battle".
-
Aight I'll get that next. Lol my parents won't let me directly connect to their internet (originally they didn't know about me on the net...I never did anything around the house...the typical reasons why parents would disconnect an internet connection lol) but I found an internet connection that my laptop picked up. So I've been piggybacking one. I don't know where it's from, but it works. Sometimes it dies but I just hit repair and most of the time it fixes.
I dunno much about networking, but 11 MB / second any good for a wireless unknown connection?
-

11 MegaBytes or Megabits? I only get 100Megabits on my WIRED connection, so if you're getting 11 megabytes on your wireless connection, hats off to you my good sir. :D
-
Uhm...it says Mbps...so whichever that is - my mistake if I said it wrong :(
Paranoia - could you please throw the Ys stuff onto File Factory? Thanks :)
-
Uhm...it says Mbps...so whichever that is - my mistake if I said it wrong :(
Megabits, then. Your connection is better than 56k, at any rate. ;)
-
Anything registered before you made your account will not show up. That's just common sense, and is a lot less server-taxing than a per-IP hosting solution. The only downside to the Mediafire service that I can see is that a lot of OSTs are going to have to be split.
No shit, Sherlock. Nowhere in my previous post did I state that the files were uploaded before I created an account. Every file was uploaded to my account, yet I can't access them now to remove them. I'm guessing that the problem is related to the multitude of updates that they've made in the last year, but screw 'em - they can keep hogging up server space for all that I care.
-
Uhm...it says Mbps...so whichever that is - my mistake if I said it wrong :(
Paranoia - could you please throw the Ys stuff onto File Factory? Thanks :)
Yeah, I'm gradually working on that. Oh, & you said you were downloaded Ys 4 Mask of the Sun? Are you talking about the PS2 Mask of the Sun, or did you get it mixed up with Dawn of Ys? I will eventually have the SNES Mask of the Sun up, as well, as both versions of Ys 5(SNES & PS2), though, none of those will have music in order of when you hear it ingame, as it's too much for me to handle, plus, I haven't played thru either Ys 5 yet. Btw, I suggest Ys 3 Oath in Felghana, love that soundtrack.
Also, if you want to hear the best version of "To Make The End Of Battle", then you deffinitly should download Disc 2 of Ys Origin, a full symphony with a chorus, violins, guitars, it's absolutly nuts!
Edit-My mistake, I was thinking of "Termination"(the song that plays when you fight Darm).
-
Uhm...
Ys 4: Dawn of Ys (includes PCM tracks, & loads of extra's) (Turbo Grafx CD)
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=8ADEC0V6
That's a broken link...
Ys 4: Mask of the Sun-A New Theory (PS2)
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=TQORZ9QJ
That one isn't - you have the file links mixed up or something?
-
No, just thought I still had Dawn of Ys on there. Well, I have a huge update, too many to list, lots of Ys & Suikoden now uploaded to File Factory. If a file says Filefactory in the link, then it should work :)
I added a couple as well, namely Popful Mail for the Turbo Grafx CD! Also there's the Ys Series Metal Arrange.
-
Added a crap load of more stuff to File Factory, & added ost's for Far East of Eden 2 for both the Turbo, & PS2/Game Cube.
-
Did some more editing of links, too many to list.
-
Added Ordyne :)
-
sweet 8)
-
Gah, running out of room, so I have to condense the list. Anyways, added some more File Factory stuff, & Ys 5 for both the SNES & PS2
-
Hello Paranoia Dragon
man i really appreciate what you are doing, because i have been looking for some of these soundtracks for a while
unfortunately, most of the ones i'm looking for are down due to filefactories lameness [-(
so, i was wondering if you could possibly upload some of them back up for me.
the ones i am primarily looking for are:
super star soldier
soldier blade
dragon spirit
if you have time some other ones i wouldn't mind having are:
blazing lazers
ninja gaiden
zero wing
Thanks
also, regardless of whether you are into kingdom hearts or not (i am not) this website http://downloads.khinsider.com/ has a great selection of VG music soundtracks and such
just not much PC engine stuff :(
-
Here's Zero Wing, though, I don't have a tracklisting for it yet.
http://www.filefactory.com/file/2e3dcb/
Thanks for the site, I'll check it out, & I'll be adding all the ones you've asked for.

DUDE, NOT COOL.
That site rips all it's files from Galbadia Hotel (http://gh.ffshrine.org/). KHInsider is a bunch of file thieves who steal what Sarah from GH has worked so hard to...well, steal, but anyway. Ripping the artist is one thing man, and GH is on good merit in my book because you can't get this stuff anymore without spending crazy amounts of cash (pseudo-legality by my definition), and plus they took down everything Square asked them to take down when they bitched at GH.
But when you rip from fellow pirates like KHInsider did, that's just f*cking low, dude.

Wow thats interesting :-s to say the least I had no idea. Actually they make you post in the forums 100 times before you can do any mass downloads otherwise you got to download song by song but i'm off topic so...
but thats pretty weird :-s
-
Hey ParanoiaDragon,
one more request =P~
Do you think you could upload Final Soldier? :D
if its not too much trouble... :D
also... i just made a pretty rad mix if anyone is interested although i'm not sure how to upload it... :-s
-

Hereeeeeeees Final Soldier
3-Final Soldier.rar of size 27.551 MB
http://www.filefactory.com/file/c12003/
-
Yo danthro, I have a question. Have you been able to open up my rar files? I just tried opening some up, & they all say header is corrupt. It must have something to do with me transfering it from one drive to this new one. This really stinks, cuz, none of my files are working on my computer!
Crap, it looks like even files I just created after the transfer also aren't opening up!
-
yes i was able to open and extract final soldier just now... but not until after i changed the file type from "video file" to "all files" which i have not had to do previously. or maybe i just never noticed before but i don't know why it says it would be a video file. :-s all the other ones have worked fine for me too...
hope this helps :-k
-
Well, I ended up having to download a new version of Winrar, & now everything is working fine. Not sure what the problem was, but, oh well.
-
I've added several game ost's, Hawk F-123, Buster Bros., Space Fantasy Zone, & Avenger.
-
Added more Shmups with tracklistings n' stuff. Mystic Formula, Monster Lair, Image Fight 2, Psychic Storm, Kiaiden 00, L-dis, Syd Mead's Terraforming, Space Invaders, & the 3 Rayxanber's! That's right, all 3 of the Rayxanbers! I have a rip of Rayxanber 1 for the FM Towns :)
-
Can you PLEASE upload Sapphire again? ESPECIALLY Track 4.
Lords Of Thunder would also be great. ^__^
Thank you!
EDIT: Forget Sapphire, I just downloaded the ISO, now I have the soundtrack.
But can you please upload Lords Of Thunder (TurboGrafx version)? I only have like 2 stages and the title MP3. :(
Thank you! ^_^
-
SHAZAM!

There ya go :)
-
Thank you, you rule! ^____^
-
Just for the hell of it, I uploaded Hyper Wars, you will like:
http://www.filefactory.com/file/ddcc6e/
Note, a few of the songs have voice acting in them, but, the guitars are teh cool.
-
I don't feel like completing a 10 minute survey just to download it.
-
Added Legion, which took alot of work, you'll see why if you download it & read the read me file, also added Cho Aniki & Ai Cho Aniki, as well as Steam Hearts.
-
Steam Hearts.
The Saturn version?
And can you upload pics (not from the Saturn version? )
-
Nah, it's the Turbo version. And I try not to look as pics of Steam Hearts. Even though there's no nudity, it's still all about hunting down various girls, & humping them to stop some virus or something.
-
sounds like my kind of game
-
sounds like my kind of game life
Fixed. ^_^
Can somebody please upload Kabuki Itouryodan? Every song I hear from this game kicks ass.
-
roflrofl
-
I could upload it, but, I don't have a tracklisting, unless that is, if when I rip it with Exact Audio Copy, it finds it in the database. You'd be surprised at how many games actually show up! I found all 3 Rayxanbers in there!
If you really want me to do it, I will, but, if you already own the game, you should just download the latest version of Exact Audio Copy!
-
sounds like my kind of game life
Fixed. ^_^
Sadly, in the real world it works just the opposite - hunting down various girls and humping them will spread the virus.
-

Because files expire way too often, just post a reply for what you want me to upload.
Shadow of the Beast (Turbo Grafx CD)
that one should be uploaded for ever :!:

Tatsujin, thanks for the info! I was able to find the list of games, but I am having trouble finding the proper winamp plugin...
here (http://www.zophar.net/winamp/) is the list of plugins.. any idea?
If not, I'll spend some time on it tonight and maybe google it.
-
Try the last one on this page (http://www.zophar.net/utilities/hes.html); I think that's the one you need.

Paranoia D, thanks so much!! This is awesome!!!
I've been having a hard time getting the .hes file to work, so getting them in mp3 dummy-proofs it!
-
No problemo!
-
is there a HES file for Jigoku Meguri??
One would be very appreciated!! m(_ _)m
-
Hmm, not sure, I don't even know what game that is....is that the game also known as Tour of Hell?

Yuppers; it's also known as Bonze Adventure.
-
Could you please post the soundtrack to Terraforming? I saw a video of it, and I want that volcano level song!
-
Thanks big time Paranoia for uploading all these awesome musix fo us!!
I have a question for you- Do you think you could upload about 5-10 of your favorite HuCard Remixes that are out there? I am looking at getting a little collection of these together. Now I just want remixes, or Rock Versions of certain levels/ parts in Chip games.
I am using these remixes in that Short film series- TurboGrafx Villains for the intro credits. Search Youtube for TurboGrafx Villains if you haven't seen them yet.
Anyway, anything you could do to help would be much appreciated!!
Thanks again,
Joshua

Remixes? Are you talking about stuff, like songs that were redone in sequals, like Dungeon Explorer 2?
-
Remixes? Are you talking about stuff, like songs that were redone in sequals, like Dungeon Explorer 2?
I mean like those fan mixes that were posted. Like the Double Dungeons Tune that was thrown in with that soundtrack, or the awesome Devils crush Metal track that was up a while back.
I am just looking for more of that for any cart/chip games you guys might have.
-
I managed to record Jigoku Meguri if anyone is interested. Both WMA and MP3's although IMO personally the WMA's sound much more closer to the pc engine since they were recorded directly from it. Mostly all the music is present, though there are 7 stages to the game, BGM tracks are repeated for other levels etc..
I'm really diggin' those gentle japanese percussion sounds on stages 2 and 3

Hey, 1 out of 2 ain't bad :). Thanks.
UPDATE: You'd think I'd be sick of these tunes, but they rule! What an un-(under-)appreciated soundtrack. I loves me some CyberChipTunes.
-
Paranoia, any chance of a New Super Mario Bros (DS) soundtrack?
-
Hello P.Dragon!
I'd like to say this is an awesome service you're providing, listening to some of these tunes will surely bring back some classic memories....you're a man of great patience to have so many of these recorded by hand by yourself!!! I used to do the same thing with cartoon intros from afterschool/saturday morning shows!
So, anychance for a upload of the ost for the original MOTOROADER? (every summer back in the day, we'd always get together for some 5player matches...damn that was the shit)
Would you also have AeroBlasters and Blazing Lazers as well?
Thanks guy!

Thanks man!
I'm gonna whip up a few of these for my ringtones, hahaha :-({|=
-
WOW! The sound is great on all these HU soundtracks, good job on the recordings. My biggest surprise is the WICKED Areoblasters Stage1 remix at the end!!! Absolutely incredible guitar riffs! Thanks again!
-
Np, I don't even remember where I got that remixed Aeroblasters track, but, I'm glad you like :D
-
Yah, it's too bad you don't know the artist who made/mixed that wicked remix cause it's something that can totally be posted up on Overclocked Remix.org! The quality is that good! And if anybody is familiar with OCR, you KNOW that the TG16 isn't represented enough on that site [-X If you have any other mixes along those lines, please post!
-
You know, after I said that, I loaded up the song, & I think it's made by a guy names Virt, & I think he does post stuff at Overclockedremix! He mainly works for Wayforward, did music for Shantae, Contra 4, Scurge Hive & more.
-
Any way we can get uploads of all the Devils Crash, Dragon Slayer, Salamander, Sapphire, Dracula X, and Dragon Egg/Spirit OST's? If you can get these up, I will keep them alive via torrent if you wish.

I'll assume you meant Dragon Saber, not Dragon Egg, as Dragon Egg has no relation to Dragon Spirit :)

Soon Paranoia (and you folks here) won't have to worry about filefactory/megaupload/crap.com! (http://junk.tg-16.com/images/pcgs.png)

Hey Esteban and Paranoia Dragon, are you guys working out getting all of this goodness moved over to Esteban's server? If so then I'll stop dinkering with these File Factory downloads. Holy cow, their download process is obnoxious. :P

Yes! We are.
Please stop wasting your precious time with filefactory. I'm glad sites like filefactory exist, but the experience of uploading/downloading files is SOOOOOOO much more pleasant when you don't use filemegafactory.com. (http://junk.tg-16.com/images/pcgs.png)

Anyone have a good link still for Dragon Slayer LOH? I actually have the disc but turborip doesn't work on my computer.

Is there any update on this? These soundtracks are begging to be downloaded and File Factory is the devil. :P

Yea, I'm curious if these could get reuploaded, or just one shared /Peer share link for us to keep the chain going?
-
Some of those are permanently hosted (via tg-16.com) through my little turbo music archive: http://turbomusic.risemedia.org/
I think I have most, if not all, of the other ones listed on my local hard drive. I'll see if I can find them.

Paranoia Dragon needs someone to guide him through using an FTP utility to upload them to tg-16.com.
He's super busy, but I have BEGGED him to upload everything so we have access to it hassle-free...
DREAM #1: all the files uploaded to tg-16.com
DREAM #2: folks re-upload files after embedding high-quality coverart images into each mp3...
-
Not PCE, but is there any way I can get an mp3 of the Bianca City music from F-Zero Maximum Velocity without the background noise?
-
Yikes, I forgot about all this.....again! Super busy barely describes it, I have 1 song for Jungle Bros. that has now taken me almost 3 months, & that just ticks me off. My goal is 1 song a month, but this waterfall level is bugging the crap out of me. I will get to this FTP thing, I swear. If I were more familiar with this kind of stuff, it'd be no big deal, but I've always had a hard time grasping FTP stuff for whatever reason. :(

My stuff should all be up in there now, unless that is, I have to be constantly logged in? I hope not. I added some stuff that isn't from the Turbo/PCE, but that peeps might like anyways, mainly Ys stuff.

YAY! Now, what should I do?
Try to work on stuff now... or go to sleep and work on stuff after I've rested?

Has anyone got a hes link for the Dragon Legend of Heroe's chip/adpcm music? I actually think they are much better sounding than the megadrive/Super famicom versions.
